hey majik_6...

i don't know if you ever have much free time or anything but.. i've seen some of your tattoo art and it's pretty bad-ass. a friend of mine is thinking about getting a tattoo pretty soon and i thought i'd ask you if you could try to draw what he wants. i understand if you don't have time or just don't do that for free so it's cool if you don't wanna. just in case you'd like to give it a shot though, this is what he wants..

He wants it to be the image of death solemnly bowing its head on his back/shoulder. It's a hooded skull with it's head bowed slightly and the edge of it's scythe blade lightly touching it's forehead. It's not a full figure, just the head and the top of the scythe. He wants the figure to be angled slightly to the figure's left, so it's like it's in a position to kinda glance over his shoulder.

hmmmm, a PM would be easier, I would think

Hey, I'd be glad to work something up! :)

As far as doing art for free, all I ask is that if he gets the image tattooed on him, that he sends me a picture. I still haven't had anyone get something I've designed them inked, so it'd be awesome to see someone get one of my pieces inked!

I've got several other tattoos I've been designing for people, so hopefully I can get all of those scanned in tonight, and if you don't mind, I'll just post the Reaper picture in this thread as soon as I get it finished.

Okay, I just sketched up something REALLY quick, and the photo doesn't really show the drawing that well, but let me know if I'm kind of on the right track.

I figured my usual cartoon style with neon green outlines and such wasn't appropriate for this piece, so I went for a more realistic feel. Thing is, realism take me FOREVER, and I wanted to get the posture/"feel" of the piece right before I go full-force into doing a finished piece.

Lemme know what you think. :)

That looks damn good, but it's not exactly what he wants. I know it was hard to understand what he was looking for, it's kinda hard to explain. He was wanting the scythe on the left side of the picture with the handle straight(like it's being held straight upright) and the head bowed in a somber kinda way with the middle (or round about) touching the forehead. He really appreciates you drawing that, and said that you don't have to but if you try to draw it again and he gets a tattoo of it or whatever he'll definitely send you a pic.

That's cool.

I didn't think the placement was what you were wanting, but it's easier to get an idea of you want by just drawing something, so that you can have a basis to correct me with.

I'll see if I can get another design worked up tonight or tomorrow.

Can your friend put "majik_6 tfproject.org" under the tat?
;)

Maybe that could be the new trend: A url to the current tatoo image :)

Sure, but can you hyperlink it?

clavus, THAT is a great idea! lol...

I still haven't been able to finish a re-draw of that thing yet (the reaper), but I'll see what I can do when I get back to my apartment tonight (I had to come back home for the weekend, and don't have any art supplies with me).
