I really like that!
Normally, I'd agree on dropping the outlines, but for some reason I like them in this piece. It's almost like they're used stylistically, instead of to actually outline the features. Very nice!

works for me. it is not exactly photo realism & that is nice.
the subtle spots of colors work well. not overbearing. very gentle. suggestive. the only thing that really bothers me is the sharp edge of where the skin shading ends at the bottom of the neck & flows over to where you put your signature. that gives it a computer rendered look to me... there's a bit of that behind the ears & around the hair too. otherwise it looks like a soft graphite or a hard charcoal.

Nice and sensitive. Lovely, actually. But I do agree about taking it easy with some of the outlines. Particularly on the lips. Lines can be a bit overused, and tints could work better.
I bet he can see dead people. He has that look.... |
