Night Maiden
whats going on right now : I finally got a real job! yay ^_^ no more college.. lol anyway i was able to afford a tablet for my pc! ^_^; I'll be around again more often now that I'm settling in(new apartment)
about the piece : this is the first peice of art that came out halfway right using just my tablet. It is inspired by the band kagrra's new album miyako |

des : glad u enjoyed it nance : it took me roughly an hour and a half to complete. linguist : the original has the patterned/block shading in all shaded areas, but the effect was lost when i cut the resolution in half. |

Pretty good. Tablets take some time getting used to and even longer to master. I gave up using mine months ago, deciding I needed to get my photoshop skills to the next level.
Try not to get discouraged though and it will really pay off in the end.

The mountains, what appear to be stars, and that odd looking road could use
some work :P but the rest of the drawing actually doesn't look half-bad, probably better than anything I could do...

A thought occured to me - are we supposed to be doing just computer art in this section, or does anything go? Me, I never touch the stuff, but I do like it. For me the challenge is in the drawing with bits of charcoal and stuff. Any thoughts on this? Chuck me out if I'm in the wrong place!

Lewis: It's ANY kind of art, so long as it's done by whoever makes the thread. it doesn't have to nesisarilly(totally didn't spell that right) be original, but it has to be your art.
marsfyre: I am loving this piece. It reminds me of oekaki. Too bad there arent still good oekaki boards...
