A Total Defiance of Color Theory
 

...well, not completely...

I just did this a few minutes ago to avoid doing my homework.

It's roughly based on my tattoos: A heart from my left arm, the chrome from my tribal on the right arm, the rays of light and the crown from my right shoulder, and the wings are a recurring thing throughout my tattoos.

The picture doesn't accurately convey the color/detail of the piece. The rays of light are blindingly neon, and the background is a sort of terra cotta color.

Kinda reminds me of the burning heart jesus thing... wicth i dont like..
But i do liek your style and the acctual quality of it is wicked .. gongrats

Yeah, I can see where it would be close to a sacred heart, but then again, that's one of my favorite symbols (but not the traditional form...I prefer the tattoo renditions, especially newschool).

But like I mentioned it's really just a mix-and-match kinda thing of my tattoos. I got some new stuff tonight to paint flash with, and decided to try a piece.

The chrome looks so real... nice wings too! I don't much care for the bright colours, they look too highlight-pen-like for me... but otherwise good work!

I see what you're saying about the bright colors. In person it looks a little different, the neons are very opaque, and it's a very odd juxtaposition between them and the terra cotta.

But I definitely agree that neons aren't everone's cup of tea...I guess a have a strange sense of asthetics.

i think it would look better without the neon, but that's just my opinion, good work though!
