hey.. i'm currently working on this movie. it is kind of hard to explain, but it is about a monster who is born without arms and is a big furry green ball. i have all the footage shot and most of it edited. there are surreal dream sequences where he is given information about his abilities (basically when he is sad, he blacks out and it rains). i thought it would be nice to get some feedback on the first dream sequence that i've been working on. the compression makes the movie a bit dark, so it isn't that dark. let me know what you think. the shot footage will be treated with some desaturation, film grain, and the monster might have animated facial expressions, just so you know what the other stuff looks kind of like.
thanks! dream 1

I see footage on the basics of the evaporation and condesation of water in an eco system.. I didn't see a little furry green monster at all.. am I missing something?

Isn't osmosis purely biological? It happens alot in the body.. where a membrane only lets through certain nutrients.. Also where the membrane lets water pass through it from a higher concentraion of water to a lower concentration? O_o

if you read the top, it says that this is the dream sequence, but i can see how that can be taken differently. but umm, yeah the footage is a water cycle combining with the circulatory system, symbolizing that his heart has this connection to the rain.

I SEEE now.. after the rain sequence the figure of a heart appears.. I was wondering what that was.. ok ok.. I see now

i started transitioning the shot video with the motion graphics. the actual monster and stuff are real footage, i built a costume for it.. took a long time to make it.. but i think it will make more sense with the transition, i have a luma matte from clouds and stuff.. just from the feedback i got from you both, it doesn't seem to clear what is going on..so i should probably focus a bit more on certain aspects so it is more understood. thanks.

i use after effects and illustrator for the motion graphics as well as photoshop when needed, altho i stray away from it because i never quite understood the pixel stretch issue with ntsc. i got a book on it, but didn't get to that section.. i have a few more ideas for smaller, less conceptual, pieces that i want to do in the future.
