Rough draft....

I think the eyepiece on the left (her right) is too big by proportion but other than that I like the image.

majik_6 11-10-2003 10:39 PM

That's some really nice work.

I love the style/subject matter, I love the whole "alternative" look.

I doubt I would have even noticed the perspective on the goggles it it hadn't been pointed out.

Thanks for posting!

la petite moi 11-10-2003 10:58 PM

Yeah thats one of the mistakes I made. ::shakes head::

majik_6 11-10-2003 11:23 PM

I wouldn't worry about it.

Like I said, it's not at all noticable. I have that same problem myself, but much more noticably!

What type of pencils (I assume it's pencil) did you use?

la petite moi 11-11-2003 08:24 AM

Just boring old number 2! =) I guess dull works better because I was lazy and refused to get up and sharpen my pencil.

analinguist 11-11-2003 09:20 AM

different style than most of the stuff i've seen on the forum, looks pretty good..

majik_6 11-11-2003 09:57 AM

Wow, those are pretty good value changes to be using a #2 pencil!

I really like the (for lack of a better word) background that you're using (or maybe it's a border). It's interesting how the top seems to recede into space, like it's more of a plane than just an outline of a square or something. I also like the play between the figure being behind the border, and then overlapping it at the top. Very nice.

la petite moi 11-11-2003 10:10 AM

Thanks!! I think the spikes coming out of the border I did was something I did at the last second. I asked my Lover what he thought I should do with the hair, and he said spikes- so I added those in at the last most. The border was something that I drew first, and then drew the girl in. =) If you want, I'll post the rough draft, hang on just a sec....

la petite moi 11-14-2003 10:45 AM

Aight, it's posted. Thanks for the comments!

Gortexfogg 11-14-2003 02:43 PM

Very cool work. Very good job drawing her posture. She is in a sort of weird position, but it looks natural and not forced.

MoNoXiDe_XXX 11-14-2003 09:13 PM

I like that alot, Spikes are wicked cool.

RemyLebeau97 11-14-2003 10:29 PM

That's kick ass, I'd make the left goggle lense a lil smaller but other than that it's dope.

Neato 11-14-2003 11:48 PM

Yea, this is wicked cool. I wanna hang it on my wall. :D

SSJwrestler 11-16-2003 01:22 AM

hairstyle is TOIGHT!

jvwgtr 11-19-2003 09:57 AM

Oh, I like this very much!
Great work!

Peetster 11-19-2003 10:15 AM

You perfectly captured the subtle shading around the base of her breast. Very nice work.

clavus 11-19-2003 09:47 PM

nice work!

fro2020 11-20-2003 08:24 AM

Have to agree with the other posts in that your work with a simple #2 pencil is fairly impressive

-Ever- 11-20-2003 12:52 PM

I like it a lot. Just sent it to my email address cause I'm in an internet cafe :/

majik_6 11-24-2003 11:59 AM

Thanks for posting the first draft, it kinda helps to see where the final's coming from!

It's also interesting to see the pencil becoming dull as the drawings progress! :)

11-24-2003 03:44 PM

very interesting subject. good start :)

la petite moi 11-26-2003 03:30 PM

Thanks everyone!! What great supportive compliments!

anti fishstick 11-27-2003 12:39 PM

the rough draft looks cool
i like sketchiness

this would be a good candidate for photoshopping and adding colors, etc.

minyn 12-03-2003 03:32 PM

rough draft is cool but somehow her arms dont look right. they look to flexible? i think.... perhaps cuz i lack the flexibility. who knows

still cool

gallopingwanker 12-03-2003 07:54 PM
