the wings don't seem connected to the picture yet. they look like they are pasted on. you should probably work more with lighting in the picture. the wings seem like they are this glowing eminating light, yet there are barely any shadows cast or light cast on the scene around them. i also don't really like that the girl is right in the center of the picture. it seems like you could crop some excess photo off, or you could position in a different area..

I suggest you replace the blue in the middle of the wings with a more similar skintone colour. It will help to blend the wings with the skin. Lastly, I think you might want to add some little mounds to where the wings connect with the skin, it gives more of a natural, 3D feel. Other then that, great start so far.

Very cool start. My suggestion would be to subdue the colors on the wings to better match the rest of the lighting in the picture.

Once this is finished it will be great. I can see this gracing the desktops of many monitors.

Yeah I understand what he is saying.. now that I actually look at the picture as a whole I can see it.. the wings look like they've been stamped on and aren't anywhere connected to the body.. so I'll eventually get around to doing something about that :)

If you can figure out how to blend the subject matters better, it will turn out quite nice. But like others have said, the wings just look out of place.
