Here's a crappy underwater POV-RAY scene i did for a computing graphics unit. Why we used pov ray is beyond me, it's extremely privative when compared to 3ds MAx or MAYA etc all using code and scripts to draw objects and move them around. A bit of a bitch. Of course i didn't get it all finished, i wanted to hvae more rubbish at the bottom of the ocean, but didn't get aorund to it, so it's a little sparse. Everyone liked the VB can though, it's an Australian beer, beer for a man! (it tastes pretty bad )

Yeah, i scaled it like that on purpose so then it maight make a cool looking purple shadow in the background. In the end it just lloked ridiculous, lol

Thanks Gortexfogg, although any kind of feeling, emotion, artistic statement or wahtever you get out of it was purely by chance. I didn't know what i was doing

good work ! I've used POVray for a while, but only for simple stuff, and I've just been playing with animation. I've never tried anything as complicated as that scene and I like it.

i think that it would seem more realistic if you treated the ocean colors a bit differently, they seem too purple for me to enjoy and admire. i never was in a purple ocean.

yeah the colors could've been different but don't get me wrong I still like it and it's great work good job
