yeah its cool, and i like the skull, but I'm not too sure what the rest is. also i tend to favor higher contrast work. my crits are that i think there is too much negative space and my focus moves right to the skull but never moves back around the rest.

Skull is interesting but the lack of bottom jaw teeth makes it look like its sucking on its bottom lip. The stuff in the backgound, is that a map?

yeah, its a nautical map.. i put bottom teeth on it because it looked odd. its just something i did pretty quickly at work while waiting for people to get here to give me something to do. i really like the birds a lot..

unfortunately i don't have too much time to perfect things, so a lot of my stuff has been very half assed. i'm working on a short video tho, that i'd share with everyone when it is completed if they are interested and that won't be half assed.

with teeth

I think the teeth really complete the skull.

Is there a reason that this is a lower contrast piece? (as in, is it to be used for something in which lower contrast is a value, such as a background for text or something)

Also, I think it's interesting that the piece is more towards the luministic side of the value scale, considering the dark imagery, and such. That's not a complaint, I actually rather like that!

Good image!

Very cool stuff. I don't fully understand it, but it looks awesome. Is that some kind of map in the background?

I haven't been around for awhile and just saw this ... I really don't know what to say. This may be confusing me like my skeletal pimp confused others.

All I keep seeing is the giant penis at the bottom. The skull is interesting but if this is a map, I'd like to see it used as the symbol for 'north'.

This has the potential to become a very interesting piece of art. I have a direction that may interest you based on what I already see. Let me know if you're interested.

Totally fucking awesome!

The "map" in the background is like a sea map to show the depth of the water, am I right?

I LOVE the skull!

Very cool beginning. I agree with the others that there needs to be more. Would make an awesome watermark in any case.

yeah it isn't completed, done quite half assed like mentioned, but i do appreciate the comments.. the main focus was on the skull and birds logo...the rest is a nautical map that i started to trace but got bored doing plus i had to do more work.

Ok, nice to know I'm not the only one to notice that.

But yeah, the skull (finished) is awesome.

ok, I hope this makes sense.

Get/download one of those anatomical illustrations of the cutaway of a female body. It usually is colored in flesh tones showing all the guts and bones and whatnot. Change the color pallet to standard map colors and add long and latitude lines. The crotch area could be labled as Sea of Dispair or something like that. The heart could be labled as Lake Placid... you get the idea. A penis shaped peninsula could be added near the bottom and labled Isle of Wood...

( i know I have spelling errors )

I'm not sure what made me think of this. Maybe it was the giant wanker at the bottom of your illustration

I'm gonna try this idea on my side whenever I get a spare freak'n moment. I'll post it here if I actually do it...
