I dunno what the girl's first name is... but i know the last is Shives. She's a pilot :)
Critique please! If anyone knows how to use color in photoshop well, please gimme some tips! |
the body seems really long (especially the neck, its like ET), the face kind of looks more manly then a girl. i thought that it was a rocker from the 80s, especially with the color palette you are choosing. i don't think that you're coloring is that bad, maybe experiment with different brushes, and not put it on a glowing orange background. also you're color palette is very pastel-ish, maybe some darker tones would help out a little bit. trying playing more with line weight, marsfyre does this pretty well (in my opinion) check out their stuff if you want to know what i mean.

what he said^ she reminds me of my bus driver from high school

Ya after i got away from it, the neck is super freakin long... I totally was trying to compensate for the usual no-neck drawings that i make. I'll re-do the color and make an entire new head when i get back
|
its nto bad man ^__^ but try to give the objects around her neck more purpose(they don't look liek armor or weapons at the moment ^__^;; ) also a suggestion for how to make her look less manly would be to make the angle of her chin alot steeper ^__^ hope you can work out that little neck problem but I think the body looks fine ^__^ good luck bro!
also.. to analinguist : "marsfyre does this pretty well (in my opinion) check out their stuff if you want to know what i mean." thanky ou man ^__^ and also I'm a "he" not a their lol ^_^;; |
it looks really good.. one more thing about the neck nobody has yet mentioned is that it seems to bulge from the chin and base of the skull.. i like the red tint in her eyes.. good work!
