Midnight Sorrow (yes more line work)

EDIT: well i filled the buildings to improve the composition a bit I think... but I'm about ready to cry because the original line work was 2048x2048 but I acidentally saved it at 750x 750(after I saved my jpg for here I went back in to edit it.. but I forgot I had resized it since fillign was so simple and saved my original at the lower resolution... so now I have a low res version only for working on.. perhaps it will turn out just being easier to color.. lol.. dammit >___< ...
well I've been working on this for a bit now its the project that stopped my mediocre coloring of the hentai dead in its tracks) I tihnk I'm getting a bit ahead of myself but I like where I'm going right now(with ym style) and I wanna keep pushing the line work rather than colors, thats why i moved tot he next peice rather than finishing the last one(besides that i can actually show most people this one.. lol) so here it is, let me know what you think ^_^

mars, i'm really attracted to your black and white work. i was thinking a interesting idea for your coloring, besides just using the paint brush or pencil in photoshop, would be to apply various textures and colors to it. i don't know if you saw the stargirl picture that i made as an example.

<img src="http://www.pekopeko.com/present/images/print2.jpg"><br>

for the orange parts, i scanned in cardboard and packing tape.. then made it a color. i did this by taking the scanned image and desaturating it, then you put the color you want over it, hit multiply, then inverse the texture and the color layer. then merge the two, then inverse again and your texture is now that color.. it works pretty awesome.. i don't know if that made sense or not..

anyway, that's just a suggestion.. i think it would be pretty cool.. your drawings kind of remind me of www.daveglassart.itgo.com

he kinda draws punkrock girls, etc.

well much to your suprise I'm sure, I don't use photoshop.. hehe I have experimented with texture before though.. chack out my experimenting with perspective post(the girl in green w/ green hair) I applied many textures over various parts of that one ^__^; as for the way you suggest it, I honestly don't think I like being so.. minimalistic when it comes to the details of coloring but one of these days if I create an apropriate peice I may try it out ^_^

that's cool.. i'm just picturing what would look cool in print. i could see this being in print, with halftones or some kind of various colored texture, where the color fills would have to be rather flat colors. what are you using to color your images in, etc.

mars, can i do a remix of this picture? i'm interested in playing with it, but only with your permission.

okay i'm going to mercilessly tear this to pieces! I think that analinguist is right when he says your stuff is really bad assed. You've got alot of skill when you use line value!
-First, u should make the back of the hand alot longer - the carpals and the metacarpals are about equal to the legnth of the middle finger. the overall legnth of the hand is correct though
-Second, the far leg would have to be leaning to the side to be that short, so you should indicate it's direction by making the top of the boots a ( curve instead of a () curve...
I guess the last thing would be the hair on her back... looks like her hair is shoulder legnth, but there's that huge tail.

unless that's the shirt being ripped...

But ya.. dude thats a really cool picture!!

Extremely sorry for being so perverted but her left leg looks a lot like a penis.

Other than that I really like your picture.

I was looking at it and went.. what the..? as well with that left leg.. perhaps make the dividing line between the two thinner?

Other than that nice drawing mate, wish I could put most of my stuff down.. I really suck at drawing with a mouse tho... waiting to get a tablet..

Giant cock?

Holy crap. It takes someone with a pervo mind to muck up the whole picture.

I really like this drawing and I wouldn't change a thing. Artwork is supposed to stir up emotions and this one kicks ass at it.

Damn, that is the single funniest thing I've seen all day and I mean that in a good way.

good job!

2 different boots?

That looks really great, though! I love the eyes and the scene behind her.

Very nice drawing. What program are you using?
One quick thing- I don't know if you really care to change it, but upon my first glance, I thought the girl's left leg was a huge penis. Maybe cutting out the line that defines her kneecap would do the trick?
