More character art, playing with perspective, need crits

A new drawing (and some detailed cg colors) of one of my old mainstay characters that i've draw once in a while and developed over the past few years. Her name is rayne and shes my character that i usually experiment on ^__^ tell me what ya think and any crits (especially on how to handle the perspective) would be greatly apreciated

she has the craziest arms i've seen in awhile. they turn into earthworms. i think your shading is getting better than the last one tho.

yeah, the braces she is wearing on her arms blends into the chest and the first thing I saw were worms. It took me a few seconds to see what was going on.

Her hair looks like a plant I have growing in my condo. But don't get me wrong. I do like the pic overall.

i didn't notice they were arm braces until it was mentioned in the forum. maybe you should start trying to play with line weight.. i know that helps alot with depth.

oh wow you're right, I should have made the weight heavier around her chest so that the arms appear to be below it.. I do enjoy playing with line weight but I've never used it in that way, only for amphasizing larger detials over smaller ones or seperation from a baclground... thanks for makeing me relaize that hehe ^__^

The eyes are really far apart, and I think the neck is titled at an odd angle or it's to short for her body. I like the arms, they are okay. What I really like is the shoulder pads, they look really nice.

IMHO, you should shade the arm covers a little more where they meet with her chest. It's hard to differintiate from her boobs and her arms. The see-through hair over her face is a nice touch, as is the shading on the leather(?) hairband, choker, and over the chest area. I'll have to agree with Goomba on the shoulder pads. AWESOME. Also like the eyes

experimenting with perspective...right...come on, you just wanted to draw more cleavage! cuz it's fun!

I learned everything I need to know about perspective from "How to draw comics the marvel way" and my hs senior year technical drawing class (turning floor plans and elevation views of a house into an accurate drawing)

As you know, in my opinion, critiques are less than worthless.
Keep working, drawing, developing your own unique vision.
That's how work evolves.
Thanks for your contributions!

you're right. let's all just hold each other's pencil and sing around the campfire.

I'm off to draw nekkid women pics with my toes so I can post them here. Then I'll start a new thread and call it 'nekkid women'. You may only post nice things. It will have 23178899 views and 5 comments.

heh
