that looks awesome, it is pretty impressive how you got shading with magic markers. and a shit load of detail. this is definately one of the nicest posts i've seen in awhile..you even got depth. woo, i don't know how you did it, but good job.

QuasiMojo 08-22-2003 10:49 AM

I love to see someone in the depth of their muse....

keep on

fggf 08-22-2003 03:55 PM

wow that's really cool. But if you turtn your head upside down her face looks weird, I don't know why

Ilaek 08-22-2003 08:31 PM

wow, that's great. I'm really glad people share their art with us.

gallopingwanker 08-22-2003 10:19 PM

Gortexfogg 08-23-2003 08:32 AM

I've used magic markers since I was like 3 and never have I EVER seen anything so well done in magic marker. Thanks for sharing and keep up this awesome work!

analinguist 08-25-2003 09:33 AM

if you turn your head upside down you look funny too??

Double D 08-25-2003 09:39 AM

Outstanding!
I never drew anything remotely as cool with my magic markers--'course I can't draw.
Nice work!

GoldenOuroboros 08-25-2003 04:25 PM

Great and with a limited tools you have done really well too :)

marsfyre 08-25-2003 09:00 PM

thats awsome ^__^ very good work, I must say. I like working with limited tools now and again(for instance just a pencil, a black marker and say.. a green pen) and I usually get some pretty funky results, certainly never gotten anything of that caliber hehe

Devilinmypants 08-26-2003 08:55 AM

thanks for the encouragement

I like the blue hair. It gives it a great shock value without being too Marge Simpson. :)

SiN 08-26-2003 09:40 AM

wow, that's amazing. :)

Plan9Senior 08-26-2003 01:25 PM

Seriously very cool. Who knew magic markers could create something so nice? :)

ARTelevision 08-29-2003 03:40 AM

it's not the medium, ever - it's what we do with it!

thanks for the reminder...

Goomba 09-01-2003 07:57 PM

wow.. That is so good. I am lost for words.

fhqwhgads 09-01-2003 10:43 PM

Excellent picture, you did a great job! Did the fumes get ya loopy?

uber1 09-02-2003 05:49 PM

good stuff for markers only!

motdakasha 09-02-2003 11:48 PM

markers are a tough medium to work with because each stroke is virtually permanent. blending can prove quite a task as well. you have done a superb job with them. i commend you!

moonpie 09-03-2003 05:42 PM

That is awesome!!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!
I was shocked to see that something done in magic marker was so beautiful. I've tried working with them in the past, I know it can be difficult. I love how you were able to shade her legs without altering their color.

Booboo 09-03-2003 10:28 PM

That is awsome man.. great talent there, especially for only using the 8 markers.. I'd like to try something like that sometime, but I would imagine it would be kind of hard to blend the colors like you did. also.. how big is the original piece? I wouldn't imagine very big, but wanted to ask.

There is just something about her face/hair in that picture that really draws my attention.. keep it up.

glophead 09-04-2003 12:30 PM

Excellent,
I would even be impressed if it wasn't done with magic markers.

Realizm 09-06-2003 02:41 PM

Having artistic skills and someone that will let you draw/paint/sketch/etc them is a wonderful thing. Good work.

EeOh1 09-06-2003 06:47 PM

Absolutely amazing, Ekirk.

You'd go crazy with a 24 pack!

dr_clocker 09-08-2003 12:56 PM

8 colors, wow, That is very impressive.

passthru 09-10-2003 02:16 AM

The drawing alone is very good. I didn't know something like that could be done with markers, and only 8 of them.
I'm awaiting your next!
