The Wait - Sketches
I started a thread that asked what people did with their waiting time (http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/tilted-...ting-time.html). I mentioned a blog that has some sketches in it but I thought a thread in Tilted Artwork would be a reasonable follow-up.
As said elsewhere, I have been waiting around for one thing or another pretty well my whole life. Which is part of the human condition - we wait for the door to open, we sit at the doctor's office, endure a child's practice session . . . I often have a sketchbook with me these days. Sometimes the waiting time turns into sketching time. I thought it might be interesting to start a thread that occasionally gets some of these sketches posted in it. I am very open to having other people post their sketches as well, and generally give feedback Here's sketches of moms waiting for their kids

That's a theme you don't hear about everyday! Nice work.

Looks good! I am glad you use your waiting time to sketch, and it is quite an interesting theme.

Thanks guys. It seems to make sense to try to get this kind of exercise in from time to time. I should have started years ago - but I was too busy being too busy, and wait time was so valuable I used it for my much needed reading. Nowadays, I can be a bit more constructive I think it's also important to not look at this stuff as "important", if you know what I mean. The drawings are just simple sketches, little quickie things that are an observational exercise and a bit of quiet, surreptitious fun at the same time.
Some airport stuff, lobby stuff, car dealer wait . . .

This next set of sketches may show a certain thematic consistency. Indeed, there is the same tree reprised 3 different times due to waiting in the same spot time after time.
