(no pic attatched)
I'm not sure if I should be posting this on here or not, but I do want to TALK about art so I think that this is the right place.
Anyway, in my painting class we went over watercolors today. I hadn't used them since I was 5. It was so fun and relaxing. Sometimes it's nice not to have to be in total control of the paint. I started making a collage. I painted paper with different colors, designs, and textures and now I'm going to cut them out to make a landscape. My teacher noticed what I was doing and brought her 3 year old son's book over to me and told me that the artist of the book used the same technique excpet with acrylic on tissue paper. The book was (i think) called "the hungry catapillar." I had always wondered how the artist had made those pictures. Has anyone else ever used this technique? |
digitally i use that method a lot.. scanning or taking photos of textures or painting textures.

I have done about one artistic thing on the computer... well it wasn't really artistic, I just patched up a scratched photo with a program for a photo class.
Are your collages abstract? |
