"a new surprising surprise"...heh. I love this crazy alien version of Pooh. No matter what happens, he's always still the same, cute, curious bear.

And with that, GH has just won the Internet.

I'm not even slightly joking when I say: I would pay $24.95 for a properly bound coffee-table scale version of the drawings exactly as they appear in this thread, no redoing of artwork needed.
BG, what's the legality of publishing work using other people's IP protected characters in parody?

Let me know when this is done, GH, and we'll move it up front so that the world can see. This is too awesome not to share.

I'm not that certain about American copyright laws. I would guess that this work could not be sold. There are multiple licensees of Milne's work (e.g. Disney) and one or more might take issue with distributing and selling the characters' likenesses to the full extent within a story and not having the rights. It might be all right to give it away, but even then a cease and desist from Disney wouldn't surprise me.

Disney, on the other hand, gets my vote as the first to sue you if it were to happen. I've heard of them doing stuff like that and, after all, they are the actual holder of the copyright.

My son got a blank Little Golden Book. I think it came along with a pack of 5 other regular LGBs, shrinkwrapped. Of course, it would be too short to fit all of these images, not to mention their awesomeness.

That's cool Redlemon, maybe I should pick that up and make my kids a story.
I tend to hide these pictures from them. I have qualities that must be kept from my children until they are older. How many pages does it have? Is the cover blank? Oh yeah...now hold still Pooh! |

The cover is blank, with that gold strip on the edge. I'm not sure where it is, but I just looked up:
Amazon.com: A Collection of Inspirational Little Golden Books 6 copy Box Set (9780375843549): Various: Books
and it seems that they are 24 pages. Ah, some other links: Blank Little Golden Book! - $8.00 : Schultz's, LLC, Golden Books and coin supply http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Totally-blank-...#ht_500wt_1182

Pooh's really accumulating too many new orifices, in a variety of new, alarming ways.
I'm not sure if I, personally, have said it as of yet, and I'm not going to be as descriptive as stating that you should be my new life-partner soon, as others have intimated before me, but nevertheless; Thank you. I love when an endeavor becomes something bigger than whence it began, and becomes a story unto itself.
