Find me some bedroom wall hangings.
 

So, I've had the same bedroom since I was a teen and the shit I have to hang on my wall is really dated and doesn't suit me anymore. I've recently changed my room quite a bit with a new bed, computer desk, carpet and painted the walls. I just don't want hang up the stupid black light stoner posters or the Playstation 1 posters anymore.

My room is 10ftx11ft. The walls are green with white trim and a dark red accent. The green is VERY close to RGB 131,163,62 if you wanna open MS paint and see what it looks like.

I like a lot of different art, but I can't really find anything that I think would be fitting for my bedroom. I really want something calming.. I don't want it to be feminine or masculine. I also don't want it to be generic mass produced shit. I don't really like rustic antique stuff either.. I'm sure you're starting to see why I'm having such a hard time deciding what kind of art I actually want.

I've considered things like a collage of vintage comic strips, maybe a small shelf with jade or bone figurines and well, that's pretty much all I've come up with in about 2 weeks of brainstorming.

I don't even know if anyone will be able to help but I'm open to any ideas. All I have right now is a clock. It doesn't matter if it's just a general suggestion or maybe you've found a specific piece of art that would go good. I'm desperate.

I love wall art. I don't have a ton of it in my house or anything, but I still love looking to see what's new in catalogs or what not.

It's hard to get an idea of what would look best without seeing the decor in your room. But you can't really go wrong with a framed mirror. Make sure it's rounded or octagonal - not square (good energy.) Shadow boxes are pretty cool. Keep them simple.

These are two of my most favorite pieces in the house. I prefer 'unique' and 'cheap' lol. Don't remember exactly how much I paid for each of these, but I promise you I didn't drop more that $25 / piece.

Don't know where you live, but I highly recommend checking out TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Big Lots, Garden Ridge and Old Time Pottery. I have my best luck at these places for unique, cheap home decor.

Check your local paper, go to an art fair. There are many locally by me, often free outdoors. You get to meet and talk with the artists, see lots of different stuff, and get original cool art often for not that much. 90% of the art in our house came from fairs.

Go paint something. It's cheap, it's easy, and even Bear Cub can do it drunk.
