What beautiful work, Midnight! Thank you for taking the time to share this. My only complaint is that some of the pictures aren't big enough to see the details of the work. I'd like to see the ring with the blue stone in a bigger picture if you get a chance.

I'll have to echo yowls sentiments Midnight, your work is exceedingly beautiful. You're very talented and with work like that your business is bound to succeed.

I have a piece of jewelry that I found at a yard sale, I thought at the time it was imitation turquoise because it was so cheap, but now I'm not so sure. The stone is about 1" long x 5/8" wide and about 1/4 "deep. The texture of the stone is not smooth, you can feel the imperfections along the grain. There are no markings and I assume the setting is silver, but I'm afraid to try the ole baking soda and aluminum foil cleaning method because I don't wont to damage the stone. Can I try this method without damaging the stone??? Do you think this is real turquoise??? I know its probably gonna be hard to tell from this pic, but I thought you might give it a shot. Thanks.

that is either turquoise or a green agate of some sort. BEST way to clean silver - and people constantly tell me im nuts - get a soft old tshirt that you are ready to throw out - has holes or something... and use either that, or an old toothbrush that you are ready to replace, and good old colgate toothpaste and hot water. best jewelry cleaner you will ever find. really mild and not dangerous to any precious or semi precious gemstones or silver or gold.

oh sorry - yeah - i'll get a pic or two later on in the day sometime. its a bright sunny day - maybe ill go outside for some good lighting.
