For chrome, high contrasting colors work good. I usually use a gray or blue for the main color, with highlights in pure white and 100% black shadows. If you havent seen my '48 Chrysler drawing, Lots of chrome on that sukka. here's a link... http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=89034

I especially like the flame. There's something about the limbs, though... it looks a lot like Japanese, and I keep trying to "read" the shapes the arm and leg make (in which case, it would read "koma"). I'm sure it was unintentional, but I found it interesting nonetheless.
