2 Birthday Cards
I brought my scanner to my lady's house and scanned the birthday cards I'd made for her kids. Robin is 5, hence the #5 shape of the seahorse. And Jamie is 7 - the frame of his picture has these cool bugs on it so I used them as inspiration for his #7.
Robin's card is 5" x 7" (12 cm x 16.5 cm) Jamie's card is 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm) pencil crayon and technical illustrator marker

Kramus - your skill never ceases to amaze - i LOVE most that your sketches have so much personality to them - they really feel like they each have a story to tell, and the attention to detail leaves me breathless every time.
They're such lucky kiddos

Illustrating Children's books and illustrating in general...
Gorgeous work. Find an author and bring their words to life with your drawings.

Hey - thanks folks
Really though, that is very nice to hear. I would like to find myself doing illustration/art instead of what I do at my current paycheque generator. Part of the master plan involves bailing on my job and relocating to the Big City (Toronto) to be with my lady full time. It would be great to find out where the artsy doors are, and get them open. Suggestions anyone?

Web hosting of your artwork samples to get interest? Summer art festivals?
Partnering up with children writers whose stories are in theme with your drawings?

kramus, as always, I love your drawings. They are so wonderful and whimsical.
And yes, you need to pair up with an author--but make sure to find an author whose outrageous, colorful imagination matches your own.

I'm going to bump all my art threads - attachments uploaded to TFP are going to be deleted as per http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=123398, and I would like to put this stuff out there one last time
