ART early work
This thread has work that I did previous to the Mid-Period work here:
ART Mid-Period Work ...and that work preceeds my current work: ART New Work The entire universe in a state of complete contraction small version: large version

I would love to have a conversation with you about this art piece.
How is the bull representative of the universe in a state of contraction? What materials did you use? What inspired the concept? Thanks for sharing!

Thanks all for the comments.
Plummie, I believe art stands on its own without explanation, since each person sees things in his or her own way. Personal interpretations are fun. I just started working with no intention and this is how it turned out... It's pen and ink on paper.

ART, I like what you said about art being as intimate as what people choose to see... I wish more people felt that way. When I make something, my reasons for doing so and meanings behind it die end as soon as someone else sees it... I hate when people ask me to explain my art, because I don't want to influence thier personal thoughts. In many ways, to me, art is more personal for the viewer than the creator. thanks, this stuff is from back in the day. most of it is gone into collections. sometimes I think of at least getting a hold of the collectors for photos or something. but I don't really hold on too hard to stuff from the past. this is what I have documented from that series - at this point anyway.

Amazingly nice work, Art! Very detailed inks that flow nicely into the larger picture without distraction from either. Each small work seamlessly becomes part of the vision. I found them to be very intense, also.
Many Thanks, |

Damn Art!!!
Damn good ART!!! Really, you must have the patience of Job to be able to produce such intricate pieces of pointillism. I dearly love pen and ink as a medium and your pieces remind me why I do.

Like everyone else has said, these are absolutely amazing! The amount of detail you put into your work is just... amazing! Do you mind if I print out a copy so that I can look at them in comfort without having to press my nose against my computer monitor?
