fhqwhgads' x-mas gift...
Here's an x-mas gift that I made for my sister-in-law, who sings in the church choir.
I cut the letters on the scrollsaw out of a 12"x12"x1/4" piece of maple. (yes, the letters were cut out of one solid sheet of maple) The final dimensions of the letters are about 7"x9" or so. They are mounted on a piece of blue mat board, and then there's a second piece cut and elevated about a 1/4" from the background. I built the frame (12"x15" or so) out of maple and used half-lap joints and a walnut dowel to pin them... Last edited by fhqwhgads; 07-13-2006 at 05:01 AM.. |
