I think the time limit is what kills it for me.

Lets throw out the weekly time constraint, suggest a broad topic (i.e. robots, pigs, landscapes, etc.) and let the thread grow or die depending on interest.

Just don't make it cephalopods

My vote would for a topic would just be "Sexy" that way people can be creative and make things from sleek cars, beautiful women, to being ironic and making gross things. But im up for anything (except more cephalopods!)

EDIT: Or maybe have it so that the topic would have to be a word in the title of the picture one submits. So for "Sexy" it could be "Sexy killing machine" or "Sexy beach babe" etc. Just so long as it doesn't stifle creativity, that's my main problem with threads like that, and one of the reasons they sometimes die out.
