symbols/pictures of optimism
Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is within the rules of this particular forum (if I am in the wrong, someone please let me know) but I am looking for images/symbols of optimism and I was wondering if any of the artists on here could lend a hand in helping me find some or if anyone had any original work they wanted to share for inspiration. I have been tossing around the idea of a tattoo for a long time and when my girlfriend brought up the idea of getting me one for my birthday, it kinda pushed me into actually wanting to do it. The concept I want to capture is my own optimism. I've always been told I was the type of person that was able to look on the "sunny side" of life in almost all situations and I consider it do be one of my defining personal traits, something that makes me what I am. Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of ideas. I'm open to most anything, I prefer American based concepts since it would be nice to tie my pride in my heritage into it, but it does not have to be. I know that this is really broad but I'm looking for anything I could get because I am pretty lost right now. So, any ideas? -Zach |
What do you mean by American based? Patriotic or just not ethnic/tribal?
|
Also, where do you want it?...for space reasons...

cookmo,
Thanks for the reply. The tattoo would be on the my back, probably on one of the shoulder blades or that general area. Smaller is better in most cases. When I said American based, I meant just nothing tribal/ethnic. I would be hesistant to put a buddhist symbol on myself when I'm not buddhist, you know? Like I said in my first post, I'm really open to anything so even if it is tribal/ethnic I would like to take a look! |
How about a really happy looking sun? Maybe with sunglasses. A big grin on his face. The style would be "1970's rock poster".
