Hitting or grabbing a guy in the groin?
 

It seems increasingly "popular" these days to talk about & show guys getting hit there, and somehow it came up the other night when I was out with my girlfriends. My impression was that it hurts and sort of knocks the wind out of a guy, but some of the girls said it can put a guy down and out for like 20 minutes -- even with just a good squeeze or yank!.

For some reason, I'm now sort of intrigued. I've never done it, and I don't have the heart (or balls!) to just do that to a guy to see what happens. Does anyone have any experiences with anything like that? Are they really so easy to take completely out? What about the guy afterwards? You don't hear so much about balls actually popping or anything.

Details, details -- what did you do, why did you do it, how incapacitated was the guy; did he recover?

Is it sick to be so curious? I just can't imagine having balls & what it would be like to have something so vulnerable just hanging there between my legs. It sort of makes up for a lot of the hassles of being a girl.

While sparring I have 'bumped' a fellow twice. Mostly it was bad timing, he moved, I kicked or swung, he crumpled. I never got them, what I would consider hard, and yet they bent over and were out of commission for a few minutes. I imagine if I had truely intended to injure them it could have been much, much worse. Based on what I saw occur I will most definately go for the groin if I'm even in a position to truely defend myself or my family from a Male attacker. I am curious to see if anyone has had an experience where they did purposely incapacitate a male individual and what happened then.

Have you ever ridden a "boys" bike and accidentally fallen on the bar? Im told it hurts much worse than that. Having done that many times I cant imagine worse pain.

I know it doesnt take much force....I've accidentally kneed dave while we slept not really hard, but evidently hard enuff (I tend to sleep with one leg bent at the knee).....he wasnt moving for a good 10 minutes.

Seems to me this would be a good question to ask the men and not post it here.

He cried, and I felt terrible.

ok, so I definitely think this is a pain we will never even be able to describe, just like I really can't describe how bad my cramps feel on the first day of my period sometimes. Well, I could describe it, but it would be quite disgusting.

Anyway, I had a guy tell me it hurts even up to their stomach. I've even been told a it made a guy have to take a crap afterward... and not jusy any crap... like a disgusting runny kind of crap.

LoL. I've never intentionally or accidentally hurt a guy like that, but my SO always warns me if I'm getting too close during things like swimming or wrestling. I'm always amused, but he's quite serious.

I remember reading a passage in one of Robert B. Parker's Spenser books (Saving Rachel Wallace, IIRC). Spenser wants to talk with a young woman who is the partner of a man-hating lesbian, who most decidedly does not want her girlfriend talking to him. She's a karate expert, and suckers him with an unexpected kick to the groin, which he shrugs off and takes her out after a very brief fight--a good big person wins over a good little person every time.

Anyway, he describes the feeling. As Spenser describes it, it hurts, a lot, and it's accompanied by a sick feeling in the lower stomach, which lingers for a long time, but, according to Spenser anyway, and I'm assuming this is Parker actually talking directly to the reader as he is wont to do with Spenser, it isn't physically incapacitating. Someone who's been trained to ignore the pain and discomfort, like a professional fighter, can disregard the pain and sick feeling to continue to fight if necessary, the same way he'd disregard cracked ribs, a broken hand, or even a gunshot wound if necessary .

Being incapacitated is primarily psychological in nature; the testicles are a guy's primary sex organs. An impact there is literally an injury to what makes them physically a man. We don't have any equivilently exposed organs. Our womb and ovaries are safely tucked inside the body wall, and our mammary glands grow extra padding as protection. A man's testicles are exposed with only a little skin to protect them.

I agree though, that this would probably be a good question to ask the guys, as anything. Anyone have a brother or husband they could ask?

i think i was about 13 and some boy decided he wanted to pick a fight with me on the baseball field. he shoved me and i kicked him in the groin area pretty hard. apparently it can lead to intense swelling, and in his case, a doctor's visit. i've never seen a boy cry like that.

My SO hit himself in the there while we were working together getting papers ready to deliver (we met working a paper route). He was placing papers in plastic bags, spinning them shut, then running them through a little device that tapes them shut. Well, durring the spinning part he nailed himself in the balls. Couldn't have hit him that hard, but he just stood there for 5 minutes, eyes bugging out and not speaking, before he kinda waddled his way to the bathroom. Hard to explain the "I've just gotten hit in the balls" walk, but imho, it's pretty funny.

I've seen it done and it looks pretty intense. Thankfully I have never done it or had to do it myself. I had a friend at school who used this "tactic" on one occasion. There was a guy in our year who was the classic popular, mean, annoying boy who picked on everyone who wasn't "cool". Well one day he picked on her. They were out on the soccer field and he was poking fun at her in a mean way, name calling and stuff. Well she wasn't having it, she chased him round the field and when she grabbed him she slapped him. He was an asshole and slapped her back, and she didn't think twice, she PUNCHED him in the groin, HARD. Needless to say he respected her after that and never messed with her again! We were only about 14 so she was (and is) a tough cookie, even though she's a mere 5 foot 4" and petite.

I have hit a man both accidentally and intentionally. Intentionally because he was getting in my face during an argument while i was sitting and he was leaning over me. I told him several times to get away from me and then back handed him with a closed fist to the nuts. He crumpled and stayed down for quite a while. But I walked away from the arguement. Then later I married the guy and during my sleep i hit him with my fist again. I slept through the dream and him sitting up straight in bed (faster than you can say ouch), then he got out of bed and went to the bathroom to throw up and came back and he talked to me in my sleep and I still dont remember it happening. =\

Im glad Im not a guy. But I have been hit there myself and it hurts pretty damn bad being a woman too.

eek i know its tempting to kick a guy there but for the sake of reproduction.. we should restrain ourselves. :D
