I just remembered that I read this in some statistics the other day:

96% of all women have at one time in their life faked an orgasm

96%?! Now that seems like a lot! :p

Personally I've never faked an orgasm. I've never felt the need to and I'd never lie about something like this.

How about you? If you vote yes then tell us the reason if you're up for it :)

More than once.

Reasons:
1. To protect their fragile ego... (they were doing it right, it jsut wasn't going to happen)
2. Because I just wanted to go to sleep
3. Because they really weren't all that great and training was just entirely too much effort

I suppose in a sense, it has happened that I'll be very excited (I'm not the quiet type) in the middle of sex and then the guy comes and it's like, he didn't ask whether I did or not, and doesn't seem worried...in fact he seems to think that I have (not that they say anything, but just have that "look")...and I don't say anything to the contrary so that would be faking in a way no? Eh, it's harmless as long as it's not the rule rather than the odd exception. Maybe I should be more demanding lol

I've never understood that mentality. Why does sex always have to end with orgasms? You know, you could've just told the guy that you didn't come and that it didn't matter that much..?!

Of course, but sometimes you just KNOW it's going to make things tense...and if the guy is reasonably intelligent and knows you fairly well then he will know when you have or haven't...and it doesn't need to be said out loud. You're making it a big deal by making a point of saying it, in this instance.

This guy was a very immature 30 year old -- if you didn't come you didnt have a good time... He didn't last long... (in more ways than one)

I've never faked one. If I knew I wasn't going to have one, I would just tell him that it wasn't gonna happen. However, I have never been in the position to do that. I always have orgasms!!

i faked a couple when i was younger.. mainly because i thought i was supposed to sound and act like that.. now i havent had to fake... i just do whatever it takes... wether its telling them what to do or grabbing a toy and putting it to use while he does his thing

Yes, almost always when I was younger. I just didn't know what else to do and thought that I was supposed to show something in order to make the guy feel like he was the next best thing to a bag of chips. It wasn't until I was over 30 that I had my first orgasm on my own (bought a vibrator and a book) and gained some confidence and the ability to tell a man what pleased me. Since then, I haven't had a problem with telling a guy that it just ain't happening and being OK with it, but I mostly just get off on my own now. Vibrators and my imagination are my best friends.

yup... maybe about 3 times TOTAL in being sexually active. They were for particular situations that needed to be dealt with care. Most times i don't care if i get off or not, honestly, but sometimes when they try too hard just doesn't help our cause any, even after telling them "honey i don't care about getting off or not".

It needed to be done and i don't regret it :)

Same for me... I dated a guy for three years (THREE YEARS) and never once had an actual orgasm... shit, I probably should've told him. Given him less of an ego problem. *BLEH*

In the past, sure. I just wanted them to stop and I knew they'd act like a big baby if I just said I couldn't cum. I'm glad I don't have to be that way with hubby.

Yes, I faked it for almost a year because I was scared of hurting his feelings. When I finally came clean, it took awhile for him to actually get me to, and until he did, I never lied about orgasms again.

hmm, i think that most women have..the women on this forum are more open and inteligent then most..and even on here most have...i'm kinda suprised that soem women havent!
