Has this ever happened to you?
Because it sure as hell hasn't happened to me... :S
I was with a new guy about two days ago, we used a condom, everything was great... but we switched positions a few times, and when he finally came and pulled out neither of us had ANY idea where the condom went. We both assumed it had just came off when he pulled out and we'd probably get a gross suprise in the morning on the floor or something. I looked around everywhere for it after he left, but nadda... Now i'm starting to panic. So i'm in the washroom the next day and all of a sudden i feel something fall out of me. (Short of feeling like my insides are rotting in chunks, i don't know i'm very paranoid lol), i get up and there's the freaking condom now in the toilet. Condom has never come off inside of me before. He did cum in it, but it stayed inside of me over night. What i'm most paranoid about, is there a HIGH percentage that i can get pregnant? I'm very nervous about this right now, and to have to wait another two weeks before my period is going to drive me insane. Do i have anything to worry about, or has this ever happened to any of you ladies? *sigh* Thx

I don't know about a high percentage, but there is a chance. I'd suggest the morning after pill, but after 2 days.... might not be effective.
I've never had a condom "lost" inside me, but once it was left behind, sort of half in/half out. My reaction was "Hey you left something behind!" I'm sure you'll be fine though. The switching positions thing can get a bit tricky... condoms tend to like slipping off...

I had that happen once. The funny thing was though that the guy never told me he lost it so I had no fucking clue it was missing until the next day when it came out of me.
Seems to me like this would have be a huge concern for him? I mean it is not like he didn't notice it was missing. |

Nancy -> I was on them for about 3 years (first three years of being sexually active) but recently went off them ('round April)... I was taking a break because i had a lot of medication going through my body and wasn't really seeing someone official. I've since bought a new supply, and as soon as i find them in my disasterous apartment, i'll start taking them again.

Most condom tips have a spermicide in them, I would be a bit nervous until my next period, but if you visit a planned parenthood they can give you a good option. You'll get a pack of BCPs and they'll tell you to take several at once. They might make you nauseous but after two doses, the chances of fertilization/implanatation will be greatly reduced.
Also, you may want to GENTLY suggest your man get a smaller sized condom. |

Jeez....no, can't say I've ever experienced that, babe. Then again, I have rarely had sex with condoms of late...13 years with my husband, then two relationships, first one I took the pill and second one no need as the guy shot blanks. But I'll be super careful from now on....despite the fact I hate those fricken' rubber things!

God i hate condoms as well, but the only thing that would be worse than using a condom for me right now would be getting knocked up or picking up an STD. *shudder*. So... condoms it is for now Because not having sex just isn't an option
Since i've posted this, i've gotten my friendly monthly reminder letting me know i'm not pregnant *yay* But i appreciate everyone's feedback! Thanks ladies!

That happened to me some years ago. Lost it, didn't know where it was,and it came out of me in the bath the next day. The scariest thing about it for me was that was one or my rare one-nighters, and the thought that I might actually have a child with that goof was maddening.
everything turned out ok, and I'm sure it will for you too - good luck. Just wanted you to know that it does happen to other people too. |

YES! This did happen to me! It would have been the second time i had sex and i freaked out so much. My boyfriend was the one that found it " in" me because i cheaked but didnt find anything. It was about 12 at night and i made him drive me to a 24hour chemist but they would serve us because i had no i.d. So the next morning i got the monring after pill and didnt stop freaking till i have 2 preg tests ...lol...i'm very paranoid about getting pregnant at this age :P

this happened to me, too! except it was because the condom was too small poor boy. i didnt freak out too much since i was on the pill, but that was certainly scary. he came out and realized it wasnt there and freaked. we searched the bed for a good 10 minutes until we both realized where it could be. its so not sexy having a guy poking around in there looking for a foreign object. just stay on the BC. gotta love that piece of mind.

Have any of you ever heard of the ring (NuvaRing, I believe)? I'm on it now, and it's *wonderful.* It has the same hormones as the pill, just in slightly lower dosages, since it's injected directly into your bloodstream. It looks like a clear, slightly thick ponytail holder, and you push it up inside of yourself. Leave it in for three weeks, then take it out for one week (during which you have your period). The beauty of it is: you don't have to remember to take a pill every day!! Since remembering was a serious problem for me, and my boyfriend and I have sex quite frequently, I was very scared. As a side benefit, even if you don't have insurance, it's only $25 / month (US Dollars) at my local planned parenthood.

Yes - this happened to me once. Figured it out pretty quick and had a quite difficult time getting it out. I thought for a minute I was gonna have to ask HIM to find it! *lol* Luckily, didn't have to. You may want to take 3-4 of your bcp 2 days in a row for prevention. A gyno told me about this method - similar to the day after pill with a high dosage of hormones.
