Having the WORST time with the patch
Knowing me, I'm one of the 2% of women who just can't get the patch to stick. It makes me want to cry!
NO matter what I do, it won't stay on and I'm really paranoid about it peeling off! Any Suggestions!? -I clean the area with rubbing alchol prior to putting it on, and let the alchol dry. -I don't apply lotion in the area. -I can't put it on my stomach area due to riding pants which would rub it off. The arm/back area I can't do (now) because it's too hot for sleeves, and I have to wear sunscreen! *sniffle*

It's not necessarily a long-term solution, but can you keep it stuck it to yourself with surgical tape or something? Where do you have it stuck? Do you shave the area?

The alcohol might be drying your skin out too much, causing the patch not to stick...
Where on your stomach to you put it? Mine is stuck about 3" below and 2" to either side of my belly button... I just swap sides every week... it has stayed there quite well through all of basic training and AIT in Missouri and Texas. That's a lot of physical activity, and a LOT of sweating... For me, it's best to attach the thing about 10 minutes after a shower. You're clean and dry then. The lower abdomen seems to be the best place for most... Good luck getting it to stick! |

I tried everything to keep the patch on, including applying medical tape around the edges, but it seems I am in that crappy 2%.
I went through the 3 patches in less than 2 weeks - couldn't get a patch to stay on for more than 3-4 days at a time. Really pissed me off as I loved the idea of the patch. I'm rapidly running out of viable birth control options that don't have miserable side effects. *rawr* Hope you'll have better luck with it.

No fall off this week - yet. It has until Thursday. I think I may have figured out the technique, usually it's the first day that I have problems (the lint gets stuck under it). I did a quick blast with the hair dryer on the patch and everything stuck back down! It hasn't attracted anything new since!

i was on the patch and it ALWAYS would fall off or only half of it would still be stuck on my skin. I started putting it really low down below my undies but make sure that you only do this if you shave if you dont that will make it not stick as well and it will REALLY hurt when you pull it off Eventually i got the shot because it became to big of a pain
