Panty Liners
I can't live without these things. I need them so when I take my jeans or work pants off, they're not so smelly.
So...do you wear them? Do you find them as indispensable as I do? |
I have never really used them before, unless I am taking a yeast infection med, of course.
I only wear them when I'm about to have my period because I get some flux
I wear them the first day and the last few days of my period, or when I'm taking the icky yeastie meds. I used to use Always ones but for some reason they started really irritating my skin. Go figure.
Uh, I wear panties, but I hate panty liners. Makes me feel like I'm wearing toilet paper in my underwear.
Hell no. Feels and looks like a diaper to me. I would go insane if someone made me wear that.
I wear them when I am going to be very physically active without a chance to go to the bathroom and dry off.
i wear them when my period is really light. i thought that's what they were for?
I wear them during and around the time of my period in case of leakage
I wear them when I'm expecting my period and / or I'm going to be really active. They are definitely indispensible.
I don't wear them, just can't be bothered. Not life shattering either way *shrugs* who knows...
I only use them during my period (which can sometimes be too heavy for even a tampon for an hour) or when I'm using a cream down there for one reason or another.
I almost never wear them otherwise. Although I have my "nice" panties, and my plain cotton ones. I use my cotton ones and such all the time. I only use my nice ones when I'm out or want to feel sexy, or at least not working. |
I just wear them around the period days. I have heard that some women who have had children never go without one due to some leakage issues.
Ah yes...the old pelvic floor exercises. Definitely recommended.
I hate wearing panty liners or pads. Both are yucky to me. It's just so smelly and nasty to look down and see that...gross. Plus, even the thinnest ones still feel so bulky to me.
I wear them when my bronchitis acts up...something happend when I had my child and now every time I cough really hard (like you do with bronchitis) I am prone to "accidents" they are a life saver from embarrasing situations.
I wear them when Im about to get my period just in case, during (even with a tampon in) as a back up if my tampon needs changing, and after (without tampon) ..you know for lighter days. I love them.

They are great for when you are like me allergic to most clothes detergents, they keep me from getting repeated yeast infections and also from those horrid 'sneezing' accidents. Also I almost always feel somehow fresher down there then just reg panties.

I only wear em during my period. I cant wear tampons (they bother me so much for some reason, cant stand em) so pantyliners it is. I change them out very often so the smell doesn't get too bad.

Never worn em. I'm a tampon user during and around my period, and I'd rather be au naturel the rest of the time. From conversations with other people and threads like this, I'm starting to think I'm a very low-discharging gal though...
I didn't wear them until I got older. My period is very heavy on the first day so I wear them to protect my clothes. I also wear them on the last day or at night.
seems to be the same with most people, during and around the period. I use them then and at times when I just feel I need to either from too much discharge to being really active. Sometimes I wear them everyday, then I'll go a few weeks without needing to. Guess it just depends, but most of the time I don't notice the feel of it.
yeah there wasn't an option for "no i dont wear panty liners but yes i wear panties." LMAO because not every woman goes without undies.....but anywho.
i wear panty liners only when i think i'm about to start my period, otherwise, definitely not. |
I always wore them when I was younger to prevent tampon leakage (hate pads!), until a boyfriend asked me why I wore them. After that, I switched brands of tampons to ones that actually absorbed, and I've never worn panty liners since. Being on the Pill, I know exactly when I'm going to get my period, so I don't need them for security.
I used to wear them almost daily b/c of discharge, but I got a yeast infection and upon seeking treatment, I got scolded by the gynecologist because "that's what underwear is for!" Apparently they aren't 'breathable' enough, and they hold in too much moisture. In short, I now only wear them with a tampon during my period.
Your gyno said that? Damn......
I may need to clarify. The GYN told me not to use the pantiliners to protect my underwear from normal discharge. While treating a yeast infection or if you're on your period, it's A-OK. But normal discharge is "normal" and apparently it's why underwear costs less than pants ;)
I see. And that is primarily the reason why I wear them. I have a lot of discharge...which is not necessarily a bad thing, I guess....
As fun as it would be to never wear panties... Still can't live without them. :)

I only wear a tampon about an average of once every five years or so maybe, because they're uncomfortable and give me cramps. Otherwise it's pads, or, these days panty liners since my periods are pretty light. Unfortunately I get chafing from them though, which really sucks. Otherwise, I usually don't even wear underwear at all, unless it's for fun. :D |
I only wear them when I'm about to get my period (so I don't ruin a good pair of undies) and when I'm wearing a tampon (because my flow is super heavy and I go through even the super plus pearls in an hour or two).
For those of you who are regular pantiliner users, beware that it increases your chances of developing a yeast infection. Anything that traps moisture in your genital region--such as pads, pantiliners, and even wet bathing suits---create a wonderful environment in which yeast thrives. Be sure to change them regularly and allow your poor vagina to BREATHE!! Cotton panties are definitely the best option, besides commando, since they are very breathable. Just be wary of the possible consequences of pantiliner dependence;) |
Only wear when tampon is just not enough...irritating spots :(
what are the thoughts on the new pantyliners made especially for thongs???

I usually don't use liners at all. Never much saw the use for them. Undies are washable after all :) |
