I've recently started an interest in perfume too, but the only one I've tried so far is Curve, and it's pretty nice. Some recommendations from some guys I know are Beautiful, Pleasures, and Polo Sport.

Have you tried Tommy Girl's Summer perfume? I can't remember the exact title, but it comes in a pink bottle that otherwise is identical to the original Tommy Girl bottle. It is very much a citrus based perfume. I don't wear it a lot because it is so seasonal, but if you like that it might be a good investment! ;)

Nice,eh?

Sunflowers. Ah the name brings back memories. I used to like it. Then one of my roommates in college dropped a full big bottle of it and it broke. It was in the carpet, wall and on the room's curtains. We lived with that smell the entire year. By week too it was enough to make me gag.

My favorites are Ici and Avon's Rare Gold. I tend to go for more of a musk scent. It sounds like yours are more of the floral scents. In that case you might like Dazzling Gold by Este Lauder

Chloe is all I wear. For the past 23 years.

That's what my mom wears. She has worn it for so long that my cousins and family friends always tell her "You smell the same!" if they haven't seen her in a while.

I found another good one...Bath and Body Works just came out with a Japanese Cherry Blossom scent--it's more woodsy and complex than their existing cherry blossom scent. I love it.

LOL I've tried to wear other perfumes, but I just can't. I always go back to Chloe.

So, I got my box of samples from Perfume Bay, and I've found a couple new scents. Most of them were ok, but not something I'd buy, a few were completely stinkarific, and two were something that I really liked. The good thing is, I can wear them and see how they smell on me without buying first :)

i wear Happy by Clinique... i always get compliments on it.

sunkssd 02-25-2006 08:58 AM

I wear Ralph Lauren Romance

ClostGoth 03-16-2006 11:28 AM

Jovan Musk for women is my pick. I like a body spray underneath though - it lends it a little extra something. (Usually lavender or something else flowery...)

chelsea_9 03-16-2006 06:20 PM

i only wear burberry brit.
i've gotten quite a few compliments from my guy friends about it too! haha, some rather... blunt compliments actually, if you catch my drift. ;)
it's a very clean and refreshing smell.

but i really enjoy marc by marc jacobs as well, and i think that'll be my next perfume indulgence!

I love amber and myrrh perfume oil, and frankincense and myrrh, too. Spicy, musky, mmm.

On D, I love vanilla musk. Mmmm....smells yummy. On me, though, it smells like Play-Doh :)

My personal favorites are Vanilla Fields and Lilly of The Valley

But ladies while we are talking scents here, can I make a statement/reminder here? Scent is a powerful thing here and a little can go a long long way... please use it in moderation think of others while wearing it... some people are allergic to fragrance and can choke or have extreme difficulties breathing. Please dont marinate yourself in the fragrance of your choice... if they can smell you two aisles away, you have too much on... if they can smell you coming 10 feet away, you have too much on. The trick to wearing fragrance is to make them (men) want to come closer to you to get a better smell. Less is more!!! IF YOU CAN SMELL IT ON YOURSELF, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH ON!!! thank you. :D

My personal favorite is Velocity by Mary Kay, I used to wear only that but now I have Body by Victoria's Secret and when I don't do that I use hand creams and lotions that have fragrances. My boyfriend's favorite is an amber myrth lotion from bath and body works. These oils sound like a good idea, I will have to keep that in mind. :)

Velocity is a very nice scent, not too overpowering and very clean. It's like one of those juse out of the shower type scents.

I got into perfume last year and I have to say, favorites so far include:

DKNY Be Delicious (not the newest, just the green bottle) and Curious (it grew on me).

The one I like the least would be Sarah Jessica Parker's new scent...

JustDoll 11-01-2006 02:59 PM

Gucci Rush 1 (my absolute fav)
FCUK for her
Davidoff Cool water for woman
Emporio She by Giorgio Armani
STILL by J.Lo

..they are all not too strong, unique scent, and very addictive...(@ least for me) :P

Ralph Lauren Romance is my favourite. I also like the men's version, an ex of mine used to wear it, and occasionally I would spray some on myself to remind me of him during the day.
