Guy Friends vs. Girl Friends
 

The thread have you ever been cheated on made me think about my friends as when my boyfriend cheated on me it was with my two best friends. And when I got pregnant in High School my friends treated me like I had the plague. So today I think about my friends and I have more guy friends then girl friends and I would rather spend time with a guy then a girl. My husband makes comments about this and I tell him I don't trust other girls and he says I must not trust him either. It's not that I don't trust him but I don't want to put him in that situation. So, Do you have more guy friends or girlfriends and how does your s/o feel about them?

I have more guy friends than girl friends,but either way.. most want to fuck me. If he cheated on you with your two best friends...He cant be trusted!!imo.

No, the guy that cheated on me was a boyfriend in high school it was not my husband.

I have had a couple of girlfriends that turned out to want my man. But for the most part, I have had good luck with girls. I used to have more guy friends when I was single, but IMO once you get serious in a relationship those guy friends can cause trouble b/w you and your man. (Works the other way, too, when guys hang out with mostly girls.) So I gradually shifted away from guyfriends to girlfriends.

I've seen the whole guy/girl friendship rip a marriage apart. Just doesn't seem like a good plan. Shouldn't your SO be your true best friend anyway?

I have more guy friends than I do girl friend. Other girls and I don't really get along too well. They end up being jealous about the relationship I have with my boyfriend, and so the friendship doesn't end up working out. Guys aren't catty like that, so those are the easier friendships to maintain.

I really prefer guy friends - I've got over 10 whereas I only got 2 girl friends. My loverboy doesn't mind that I've got so many guy friends and that many of them are interested in me because he trusts me

I have almost no guy-friends, most of the guys that are sort of friends of mine, are the "original" friends of my boyfriend, or the boyfriends of my (girl-)friends...

I'm about equal, i mean i've got one or two guys and one or two girls that i'm very very close with, and then about equal a few more of both sexes that i'm just friends with. The balance has finally evened out after a few years, yay!

More guy friends here. I have two girl friends, as compaired to the 10 or so guy friends. It's easier for me to be friends and get along with guys than girls, because I have brothers and no sisters.

I only have 2 girlfriends and they don't live locally...the rest of my friends are guys. It seems like a lot of guys think this is strange but I just get along better with guys than I do with girls. I've always felt that women have a tendency to want to compete with you over the attention of (what I view as) guys that are only friends. Plus, I enjoy taking care of people and my guy friends let me do that for them and in return they look out for me.

i used to have all girlfriends when i was a kid and all afraid to speak to boys. and then when i started to speak to boys i didn't want to speak to girls anymore. but in the last couple of years i've come to appriciate girls again. i'd say i've balanced at both. at this point i think that i've just let go of thinking what a certain gender of friend means and just let me discover for myself their unique characteristics. i really like this place i'm at.

more guys than girl they are generallly not jealous.

I'll admit I have always had more guy friends. I enjoy their craziness, sense of humor, etc. I'm a natural flirt, and I don't dig girly talk (i.e. fashion, boys, gossip, shopping..........) although I do have a few girlfriends which we don't really get into those topics. But I find guys more itneresting and fun to be around. And my true friends are the ones I've gotten to know through my husband, which, of course, are mostly guys.

I'm a nerd (computers, books, role playing games, linux, unix, etc) so most of my friends are guys. I usually have next to nothing in common with girls.

going through high school I had a lot of close girlfriends but when I got to college the people I talk to and rely on the most are male. it's not so dramatic with them. You just have to find a boy who can handle emotion

I have a few close girlfriends.. but it seems I tend to only trust/get along with the ones that have long term boyfriends. I've been burned recently by someone who was a friend .. who decided to essentially steal my boyfriend.

However, I'm with alot of the ladies here .. I enjoy talking about more manly things. I like sports, cars.. and I don't mind getting teased occasionally about my feminine aspects. Many of my guy friends enjoy me being 'one of the boys' and just being able to have a good time with them. I'm sure a few of them are interested in me .. and I have dated a good guy friend of mine before. It ended fine .. and I wouldn't think of it as a bad experience.

My only negative thing with that is my guy friend's girlfriends just loathe me. They think I'm out there to steal them away, but I would never do that to someone .. I guess many of those girls don't feel the same way I do about being cheated on/cheating with someone in a relationship.. its SO WRONG!

Woah, tangent : ) I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who throughly enjoys male company on a mostly platonic level!
