Bikini Area
I find it hard to keep my bikini area neatly shaven.. I can hardly do it everyother day... it gets all bummpy and whatnot.
Does anyone else have this problem... and maybe a sloution.. different razor, shaving cream/conditioner... lotion... Whatever you think works.. or just works for you. Thanks- |

I find I have the same problem if I try to do it every other day, it's just to soon since the last time I shaved, and the skin gets irritated. Basically, I shave once a week and that works out pretty well. The hair never gets too long to be a problem, and no red bumps.
Another thing that can help to keep it smooth in general, would be to put some lotion on right after you shave. That helps keep the bumpies away for me. I think any lotion would work, but I typically use ones from Victoria's Secret if that makes a difference. I would say just try letting a few more days go in between, see if that helps. Also, there are lots of threads about shaving already on the board, use the search function and check some of those out.

I have the same bumpy problem, my family grows alot of hair so I have to shave every day if I'm going to be showing off that area.
The trick is to exfoliate it there first (hard core - I'm talking really scrub), then let it soak in hot water (the bath tub) then shave with shave gel, and apply bikini zone after drying off. I usually apply bikini zone about two hours after shaving as well. No red bumpies anymore!

If you are not looking for a perfect smooth look, a mens electric razor works great. (I can't think of what they're called but it's the ones used for buzz cuts.) I was set on keeping myself smooth for a long time but finally got tired of dealing with razor burn and ingrown hairs. I now use my bf's razor and it works great... it keeps everything very short, it takes less than 5 mins, I can do a dry shave, and best of all I don't have to worry about razor burn or cutting myself.
