Men's Cologne: What Do You Like?
Hello Lovely Ladies
I recieved a PM from one of our fine Male Members, who is curious to know what scents us women really like on our men. And, tbh, I think that's a good topic So c'mon, let's help the men make themselves even more irresistable to us!

Personally I'm a fan of Eddie Bauer's Adventurer. Though I also really like Cool Water.
I'm not a freak about a dude having a designer scent, Tide laundry detergent works just as well - because I know he washes his clothes. I just like the smell of a man's skin when it's clean.

Armani Mania is the best so far so I make my loverboy wear it all the time

Cool Water is great, and I have to admit I love the way Axe smells, the commercials don't lie.

I have to say I'm not a great fan of men's cologne - probably because most men who wear cologne wear WAY too much of it. So my advice would be whatever you wear, wear it in MODERATION. Those of us who are about to get into an elevator with you, thank you from the bottom of our fragile olfactory systems.

I have no idea... I do know that I can't stand Tommy. UGH! I know a good smelling guy when I smell him... but beyond that, no clue. Like lurkette said, moderation fellas.

Seems like every time I tell a guy I like his cologne, he always goes and puts MORE on. I had an ex that would douse himself in his cologne...I mean, absolutely douse himself in it...and even sprayed some on my shirt to "remind me of him". Yeah...now I get sick every time I get a whiff of that cologne, just because of the overwhelming memory scent and the bad memories associated with that ex. I enjoy Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men, Curve, and Swiss Army.

Some guys wear too much cologne, I think, because they don't bathe often enough (maybe I'm wrong?). I absolutely love the smell of a clean guy, right out of the shower. Yum.

And agreement on moderation... I've noticed different colognes affect me differently, though...crack can spray on the exact amount of Cool Water or Hugo (well, at different times, obviously); the CW won't bother me, but the Hugo will give me a headache.

Brut, Preferred Stock, or Stetson I like best. Hubby has worn those 3 but sticks to Brut the last few years.

It's fucking DIVINE. I remember walking to class at college and getting a whiff of someone walking by wearing that, stopping, and then contemplating following them home. Mmmmmm........... Oh, and I fucking HATE the axe sprays. My roommate wears one and I fucking gag every time. Just so no to AXE. |

Polo is dangerously wonderful but too many men wear too much of it. Less is more with Polo. It smacks of wild sex!
Currently I Love Roger & Gallet, Paris....but it's hard to find and extremely expensive. Best to pick up at the Duty free shops returning from Europe.

that's easy. i like whatever Will wears. and not just because he's my boyfriend. i don't like most colognes because they're too strong and i don't like strong fragrance in general. i'm really picky with scents but his is actually really good. i don't know what it is though...

I love the scent of a man who smells clean. And I love it when they have just enough cologne on that it entices my senses and sends me wondering if he placed a small dab down where it matters. And when I can catch a lingering touch of him on me after we have been together I get chills. I ALWAYS comment when a man smells nice. I will tell them point blank that they smell good.
Many of the "popular" ones that have already been named I will second. Just today one of the guys at worked smelled especially delicious and I told him he smelled nummy and asked him what it was. He was wearing Envy by Pierre Cardin. I made a mental note to get some of that for my sweetie. YUM!

Irish Spring Soap - that's it -- too much cologne, no matter how good it smells, is overpowering, on men or women, so soap and water is just perfect.
