Poll:Ladies what do YOU want??
I was wondering about our female population here.
Of course we are all aware that there are much fewer of us then the men. So that is why we have this LL as our own special place. I would like for all of you to tell me any ideas you might have to make the LL even better then it is. Are there certain features you would like to see added to TFP that would be for ladies only?? Are there things that you think are missing that would perhaps increase the female population here?? I would greatly appreciate any and all input from the ladies on this. Thank You!! |

I love the site I think its excellent. I dont know maybe some other catigories dealing more towards us maybe break it down to some extent. Theres a lot of topics that we have that all have just jumbbled into one room for us. The only thing is if we get too indepth then we might have to password protect it just to keep the men out all together.

I don't know how reasonable it would be but perhaps someplace that the ladies could discuss child rearing and motherhood. I know many of the ladies here are mom's - Yes I know not all. But even those that aren't mom's might get some good advice from the mom's who are here. I don't think I would want it exclusively for the ladies though because some Dad's can have good input - especially when it comes to raising boys. Just a thought - I work with children day and and day out and it's such a part of my life that I would love to bring what I know and experience here more often.

I love the Ladies Lounge, and I honestly can't see any way to improve it.
While I'm not a parent myself, I agree that a special area for parents would be a nice addition. However, many of the issues brought up there could likely fit into Tilted Living, so I don't see it as a necessity. Since I've joined TFP, I've never felt uncomfortable or out of place for being a female, so I don't feel the need to 'improve' anything. Sorry Nikki, that wasn't entirely helpful. And btw, I love your new avatar!

I'm with onodrim....(Aside from my old arguement that some men should be allowed in the LL to chat...some of the older gents we're quite nice and a real pelsure to have around)......the LL is great.....btw...I love the avatar too

but seriously, nothing that i can think of. occasionally i think i'd like to see more 'girly' type subjects like makeup, fashion, skin/haircare, etc... yeah yeah...then i should start some threads about it, eh? anyways, regardless, this is good stuff to talk about, it's important that we're all happy with our little world here.

"Tilted Parenting" (probably part of The Academy) would be helpful, especially since not everyone wants to see the lastest exploits of Ruggus Rattus. Experience is the best teacher, but borrowing from other parents' successes and failures helps, for another viewpoint at the issue if for nothing else.
