I'm wearing a skirt today, and my awesome tall boots and I noticed that I yet again did not get all the little hairs on my knee when I shaved. It happens every time! I think those little buggers are impossible to get. There are maybe 10 little hairs that just never get shaved. Man, its annoying. They're very light and unnoticable, but I know they are there...

Nobody will be running their hands up my legs so it's not like it matters much, but still....

Does this happen to anyone else, or am I just an inadequate shaver?

Knees are impossible! Waxing works great from the knees up and it's so nice to have smooth knees if even for a couple of weeks.

The knees do seem to be the most difficult to get it smooth but knowing that makes me pay extra attention. I find that if I go slower over the knee I get better results.

Me too! I am glad to hear that many other people have the same problem. I thought it was just because I hate shaving and rush throught it.

I just gave up on shaving. I'm one of the lucky few with white leg hair, so you can't tell that much. I only shave when I get the urge, or when my hair is disgustingly long ;D sounds kinda bad.. hahaha

I've been using shave minimizing lotion for the past 6 months and it has worked wonders. I only have to shave once a week now. And yes, I get those annoying knee hairs too. If they really bug you, carry a pair of tweezers with you.

i miss the knee hairs too. i think when you have lighter and thinner hair it's easier to miss stuff in the tub. they look fine and then when i get into the sun i see a few little shimmering white hairs...grr... although i haven't shaved my legs in like months, so i guess i can't really be that angry.

hair around the ankles? hmmmmm I thought I was a hairy critter but I didn't think people actually grew hair around their ankles... I stand corrected.

Yeah, knees are a pain to shave. That and my thighs are the biggest hassles. Don't know why my thighs are... oh well.

I have the same exact problem every time that I shave my legs too, which is usually every day. (its a habit)

I dunno...its weird, when I'm in the shower, it feels like I'm nice and smooth. But after I get out and dry off I notice it right away. Like, when I'm sitting in a chair with my knees up I can't see those few damned hairs still there!

I ususally make a point to then walk straight to the bathroom and dispose of them. And I guess that waxing is a sure way to get rid of them, but....ow!

I always have that problem, I don't think my knees have ever been completely smooth. And I have the ankle hair problem too, but its only on one side, weird. I've never tried waxing, so I suppose that might make a difference, but shaving with a razor never takes off those annoying little knee hairs. You're not alone!

and yeah, i always seem to miss some small patch of leg hair. i shave in the shower; i don't put my contacts in until after my shower & i am as near sighted as mr. magoo... altho i try very hard not to miss anywhere, it seems like i generally do miss a small patch somewhere. :\

Knees are no big problem for me (actually i don't really shave them that thoroughly, avoiding the problem more than confronting it...) But those ankles are a bigger problem to me! Especially that weird little knobble you have to get past without cutting your flesh., I never seem to pass it safely. Plus, when I do cut myself, the blood hits the fan!!!

I'm all about boots and skirts when it's not 30 degrees out, though I haven't been able to find a cheaper pair of docs or nicer boots to go with my skirts and various assortments.

But I've gotta agree on the shaving thing... quite a pain in the ass. I wanna go somewhere and just get waxed... I think it'd be weird having someone else do something like that to me, but I sometimes think it'd be better than shaving or plucking... damn light hair.

I use the Jergens lotion too, and it's crazy-good. I bought it on a whim but it does actually work, and very well.

i usually get made fun of by friends for plucking the remaining hairs with a pair of tweezers. *shrug*

I also miss THREE (the same three) hairs above my ankle- a guy friend of mine advised me to grow them out and braid them. Seeing as how they never were shaved anyhow!

Without fail I nick my ankles and knees up when I shave. Doesn't make a difference if I am slow and cautious it always happens.
