14 gauge was what I was pierced with and yes they stayed hard for 6 months... after that they went back to normal.

I'm so glad this thread was started! I've been thinking about getting my nipples pierced and had looked at various sources online, but it's wonderful hearing from you ladies about your experiences. I now know for sure that I want to get them pierced, now the issue is finding a piercer and making sure that I don't pass out in the chair!
I had gotten my eyebrow & my tongue pierced (not at the same time). I almost passed out both times. It may have been b/c of all the adrenaline rushing through me, or I'm just a whimp! LOL Thanks ladies! |
Okay, I'm thinking if I get mine done I'll get 14 gauge. Thank you!

I got just one done back in February. It was also 14 gauge...must be the standard size they do? I did ok, and then as soon as I sat up after the piercer did his thing, I said "I'm....gonna lay back down". Haha and then 5 minutes later I was fine, but I think it was the adrenaline!
Was painful for maybe a week or two, and a month afterward, if I hit it pretty hard, it was pretty painful, but only if my dumbass provoked it. :) |
Ok from what I have heard breastfeeding is do able after getting pierced so dont worry. I just got mine done about 3 weeks ago by a guy who wasnt liscenced and didnt really know his stuff, so the first thing I would say is to do your reasearch and make sure that the person who does yours is a liscenced pro who knows what they are doing!! There is another thread on the ladies lounge on nipple piercings that you can read with more info on the topic... and a link to a great site too. Good luck and go for it you will really love it... it doesnt hurt at all! :D Oh yeah and I have heard that 14 gauge is the industry standard for nipples...

Hey all! I got my piercings done almost 3 weeks ago (3 weeks exactly in 2 days lol) and I loved it. I had extremely unsensitive nipples...to the point where i didnt even FEEL the piercing on the right. The one on the left hurt less than any of my ear piercings and less than my ex-tongue piercing did.
I was also pierced at a 14 gauge, as the bigger the gauge is the less chance of rejection. Looking at the needles was the scariest part for me :P The initial pain was over super quick, and instead of being in pain for a week, the sensation was more erotic than painful. Very distracting :P My boyfriend also got pierced the same day, adding a 3rd cartilidge piercing on his ear, and he was in more pain than I was! So far, they are healing great, just have some *ew* crusties to deal with every day, but i guess thats just the body getting rid of dead cells. *yuk* Just my 2 cents :P I would recommend to ANYONE getting these piercings done. I LOVE MINE!!!!! Oh and the bra thing, I wore (and still am off and on) a bra because the less they bounce around (and i'm only a b :P) the better it is for them to heal, as well as being more comfy. |
