I'm in school and I don't get to visit as often and I should be in bed but I realised how much I miss talking to you girls.
So I'm pretty set on getting a vertical clit hood piercing. I already have lip and tongue and my sisters have a variety more, so I'm accustomed to generic piercing care. My piercer (a guy, btw) suggests the salt water soak and cleaning with baby wash. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could give me some personal advice. This piercing makes me nervous just cause I could see so many problems developing down there. Also, I live at home still so it's going to be an interesting time soaking and cleaning so much without my parents wondering why I'm in the bathroom so long and often. Anyways, I won't be getting it for about a week at least, because of the time of the month. Just any tips or feedback would be awesome.

I've been thinking about getting one myself, but it seems like you know most of the info that I do. I'm eager to see what everyone else has to say about it, and also your experience, once its done. Let me know how it goes, particularly the pain factor.

I've got a VCH and i love it. If it helps at all, you don't need to do the salt water soak everyday. Just like once every other day for the first week- ten days. Wash it twice a day, once in the shower, which won't look weird to your parents, and wihle you're getting ready for bed at night. I still lived at home when i had mine done and my parents had no clue. And you can have sex in no more than two weeks after its done!! I suggest getting a barbel instead of a hoop, cause they tend to heal more quickly. Getting it done does hurt, i'm not gonna lie, but it's a spot that heals pretty quickly, so as long as you're not going on any mountain biking expeditions right after you get the piercing, you should be fine. And once it's healed it's a whole lotta fun. Good luck!!

I don't have experience with any piercings down there but I have had surgery just above the mons. At the hospital they gave me a small quirt bottle that I was told to fill with lukewarm water and after going to the bathroom or when I needed to be clean I would squirt it down there while sitting on the toilet. My hands did not have to touch there area - I would just be flushing it with the water. The bottle nozzle was such that it was a gentler flow and not sharp so did not hurt. Then you were to pat things dry so there was no pulling or rubbing. The bottle was called a Peri-bottle mainly for cleansing after giving birth and tearing the perinium (sp?). I imagine this might be a useful thing. Make sure the bottle is clean before you use it. I would suggest rinsing it out with clorox and then water several times as well as squirting both through the nozzle to clean it too. It's a suggestion but I do not know for sure how it'll work. I just had a brainstorm.

I really want a clit hood piercing, but I have a very, very tiny clit hood, and have been told that it would tear. Actually, I am kind of sad about my pussy. Typically, women have a larger clit hood, and the outer labia lips seem to come down from there and frame the pussy. I don't have any outer labia lips, either. I feel kind of insignificant in that regard;fortunately, my hubby tells me I have a pretty pussy, so I believe him--especially when he eats me all the time, heh.

have you thought about getting anything else? a lot of the piercings are dependent on your body shape, and so if you have an abnormal shape maybe another piercing which most girls couldn't get would work for you.

just to keep you all up to date on my genitals, cause i know that's a big concern for so many of you, i think i might get it like tomorrow or maybe sunday, or i may chicken out for another month ( i want to time it so it can heal before i have to deal with my period). more on this tomorrow or sunday or whenever. i'm soooo scared though. nervous. it's fun though.

I plan on getting this done, a) once I have the money for it, and b) once I feel my body is back in shape.. kinda want to do my tatts and piercings as rewards for getting back into shape in the next 7-8 months. we'll see how that goes though.

I'm seriously considering this, though, I'm a bit gun shy. I have other piercings, but nothing in such a sensitive place. I'm certainly not wimpy when it comes to pain, but I do love sex and wouldn't want that to change.

For those that have it done, is it really a boost sexually? In the end, did you feel it was worth it?

It doesn't hurt at all i had mine done about two weeks ago and it healed in about 4 days. It is worth having done its really personal and really fun. It doesnt hurt at all having it done and if you don't like it you can take it out.

so i got mine done about a half hour ago. it wasn't bad. really just a pinch. and even now it's pinching a tad but really nothing to be complaining about. i think i'm really going to like it. and my piercer was great. a super guy. i think i love him. anyways, it was just overall really good. i'm gonna go take a salt bath now.

getting another piercing before this one would probably be a good idea. although actually belly button is far more likely to get infected than clit hood, oddly enough. my piercer interviewed me about why i wanted it before he would do it and he said the fact that i have other piercings helped his decision to do it, and that he wouldn't be likely do it if it was someone's first. i mean that's his personal decision, but he's a pretty smart guy when it comes to what is good and bad in the world of piercings.
as far as sexual stimulation, i don't notice anything extreme now. which is good, cause i mean it's not even fully healed and if it was driving me nuts now i wouldn't be able to keep it in for long. but i'm hoping that during sexual play it's effects will become apparent. i'll let you know in like 2-3 weeks or so.

Oh i adore piercings. I've been toying with the idea of getting my vert. hood done. Hopefully i'll work up the guts to get it sometime soon. I've already got a couple, like bellybutton, stretched ears, septum and lip, but this one will be extra special

Ok... will be getting mine done next month. Plenty of piercings here, so I'm not too worried about the after care and whatnot. What I'm mainly worried about is the scar tissue that will form and wether it will affect the sensitivity of my clit. I've heard it can heighten sensitivity, but I've also heard the horror stories of losing all feeling. For those that have it, how lond have you had it? Have you noticed any difference in sensitivity? Has anyone had the piercing and taken it out since then? How much scarring is involved?

I've been toying with the notion of a piercing myself, and I have the same fears as Lexi. Mostly what I'm wondering is after the initial healing period, can the peircing be taken out, or does it pretty much have to stay in constantly? Also, does it look strange when the piercing is out, or does it look the way it did before it was pierced? Any help on the matter would be much appreciated!

I've been considering the vch also, actually i've become a punk since i moved out of my parents house, and away from the conservative town I grew up in. However my boyfriend doesn't really like piercings, he keeps telling me to go get it done (he doesn't know that I want a triangle too if its anatomically possible for me) but the time without sex is a big drag, so i'll continue thinking about it, eventually it'll happen though. the pictures on bmezine are good, they're what got me interested.

Dragging up this thread as I am considering getting a VCH (vertical clit hood) done meself. Does anyone new in the Ladies Lounge have any advice or stories to offer? I'm probably getting it done Jan. 3rd, as that's when my student loan money will be in for sure. My roomie just had hers done and said it was no more than a pinch, like giving blood but if they messed up the puncture. So I'm thinking it can't hurt too badly, and if it does I'm fully prepared to get drunk after as there are $2 margaritas up the road. But any advice or stories would be fully appreciated.

I got mine done about a year ago. Got it for my husband's birthday. I love it. It took me a long time to actually go in and do it. But the pain actually only lasted for 3 seconds. It's healed very nicely and I have to say, that was the best $50 I ever spent. The gift that keeps on giving It's actually really easy to keep clean. Especially if you have a hand held shower head. It wasn't hard to work it into the whole cleaning routine. I did a lot of research before I made my decision and I talked to my piercer for a while. When you trust your piercer it's really not a hard decision. I'll completely heal in 6 weeks. It was easier to clean and take care than my nose piercing. I had sex the same night I got it done. You just have to be really gentle and wash up right after. Well, there are my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

I've kinda toyed with the idea of it, but I just got my nipples done today and that hurt like a bitch, so I don't know if I want to now. A note for anyone who is thinking of getting your nipples peirced: Be prepared for a considerable amount of stinging, both during and after.

Report from various friends says the down under piercings are less painful than the nips. I'll let you know how the whole thing goes down...less than a week to go...

Thanks for the heads up. I want a nipple piercing and a clit hood piering, but I always figured I would do the nipple first since it seemed it would be less painful, and therefore a better first step to the clit piercing. Now perhaps I should reconsider.

i've no genital pierce to compare it to, but i'm not surprised at the consensus that nips hurt more.


if you're doing one, it's not as bad i suppose as 2 - because for the 2nd one, you know exactly! what it's gonna feel like ...

I've got both of my nips pierced....but I did them one at a time (one of them twice because the first one migrated out)....yes it hurt for about 20 seconds....I've always been told that the nips hurt worse than anywhere else but since the only other parts of me that have been pierced are my ears and my belly button I cant really atest to that although it hurt WAY more than the belly.

But since I've had them done three times and didnt die or throw up from the pain I think Im safe in saying its bareable. No hole being poked in your body is going to be painless lol

I dont recommend getting them done at the same time....there is stinging that goes on for several weeks afterwards and having it on both sides at the same time would be a bit much. Plus....no bodily fluids are allowed near the piercing for a good while...so if you got both done your guy/girl couldnt suck on them at all and that would be a bummer...well it would for me anyway

I recently got a veritcal hood piercing 3 weeks ago. I am not going to lie and say it didn't hurt because the initial piercing hurt like hell I actually screamed when it was being done but within 2 seconds of it being over it did not hurt at all. That first night the sensations I felt down below were so weird but great at the same time. I can now say just knowing that it is there is a turn on to me. My only question that I am hoping someone can help me with is I haven't had sex yet and I want to know does it really increase sensation on your clit or not to much? To me right now because I guess I am not used to it and really don't know how to go about testing it out through masterbation or sex and my boyfriend isn't so sure either. So if I could please get some kind of tips. I just don't want to get rid of the piercing because I absolutly love that its there I just need to figure out how to feel like its not in my way during masterbation. Also can anyone recommend any sex toys that will work well with the piercing???????????

Well... Obviously, as Im in this forum, I'm thinking of adding a little decoration to my nether-regions... I want a vertical hood piercing... I have my ears pierced multiple times, 6 of those times, Ive done them myself... I've also had my eyebrow pierced 3 times (once horizontally, twice vertically)... has anyone out there in this forum had their 'brow pierced before? I need a little bit of a comparison, so I know what Im getting myself into, here... for me, the horizontal eyebrow didnt hurt at all, except for the clamp... it actually felt cool to have the metal bar sliding through there... the 2 vertical ones hurt a little more, as the bar was curved for those two, and I got all 3 in the same place (because they all grew out)... so, yeah... I need a pain meter here, to guage the pain... if all you with eyebrow peircings, or who have had them and now have vertical hood piercings could be as specific as to which part hurt the most (the clamp, the actual piercing, after the piercing, washing it, walking with it while healing, or the healing process in general)...thank you all very much!
