cracks in sensitive skin
So, I'm sitting here, and it's happened again. in the crease between my inner and outer pussy lips, the skin has gotten painful and cracked. the same kind of thing that happens with your earlobe if you're out in the wind too much. but i don't hang my crotch out in any tornados, so I ahve no clue what's causing them, or what to do about it. any tips??

hm..i've got a similar problem, sort of..
the skin at the top of my asscrack tears sooo easily. just inside the crack, where the skin dents in kinda.. sux. i'm a fan of trip-antibiotic ointment for such things... but i dunno, i don't have any other solutions atm. hopefully someone else has some good ideas?

cheers, have you asked your OB/Gyn about that? It could be eczema or psoriasis. Or it may be something as simple as just needing a special lubricant (like if your elbows are dry, you would use a lotion or cream). Definitely give the doc a call.

nah, I haven't. I've been doin' the ghetto-fabulous school health-clinic version of an ob/gyn. I've been meaning to get a list from my daddy-o of people in town that his ins covers, so I can get myself into a genuine office, but the cheap meds have kept me from it. maybe a bit more motivation, hmm?

Is there a Planned Parenthood in your area? They have trained healthcare professionals there and it's not overwhemingly expensive (especially for students).
I think it's a good idea to have it checked if this is a recurring problem for you. As Jadzia mentioned, it could be a skin problem that is easily treated. I hope you get to feeling better, girl!

I get this once in a while as well. For me, it always seems to be related to shaving. If I attempt to trim the tarantula more than once a week, my skin gets dry and breaks.
For me, the best solution was (a) don't shave as much and (b) apply a tiny bit of KY gel to the area every morning. The hair is there to keep the area moist, so adding a bit of moisture to it never hurts. *hugs cheerios*
