I use a Venus and I have way sensitive skin. My thoughts though are its not really the razor but the shaving cream you use, unless you use something like the Intuition that has stuff already in it, but the razor doesn't matter.

i use a Mach3 Turbo...with a dull blade because at 17 euro for an 8-pk, i cannot afford to buy more until bf's payday... regarding the thread - Aveeno Shave Gel is the best shit imo. it's all i'll use when shaving my 'delicate bits'.

haha, i got a free venus in the mail.. i've been using it for a while and the blade still hasn't gotten dull. its awesome. on the side i use... i think its the one that came right before venus. that works great, too.
and i have really sensitive skin, too, and i've found that if you put lotion on right after shaving anything, not just bikini lines, it helps a whole lot.

I had been using the Venus, but I find it hard to use to shave my pubic region - the handle is too big or something. i8 introduced me to the Mach3, and I like that one. He also recommends copious amounts of shaving cream. I thought he just liked lathering me up, but from what you've all said, I guess it's the way its done. Somewhere along the line I missed out on learning all this girly stuff. Too busy being a hairy feminist at the time I guess, lol.

I have really sensitive skin, but haven't had as much trouble after shaving since I started using Aveeno shaving cream and Venus blades.

I use men's razors. I guess since they're made for someone's face, they are easier on the skin. As for shave gel, I don't use any. But I do soak myself in hot soapy water to soften the hair before I do any actual shaving.

I love the skintimate shave gel.. and my razor of choice is the Gillette Sensor Excel for Women. Soft, no slip grip. And refills are not so expensive.

I'm with yoshi on this one. I use both. Also, I've found if you use Jergen's Naturally Smooth lotion everyday that the hair is easier to shave and doesn't grow back as fast. It's the shit!

I've used a Mach 3 since they came out. The husband convinced me to give up my disposable razors in favor of it and I've never looked back.
Pricey? Yes. But worth it when you figure in how much you are saving on bandaids. Forget shaving cream too, shaving gel is much better and the sensetive skin ones are the best. Has anyone besides me noticed that the men's shaving gels are (1) cheaper and (2) usually have bonus amounts in them?
