Female Superheroes - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

With the recent Charlie's Angels movie it got me thinking, while it's great that women can now be the heroes on screen rather than the helpless victims that get saved, it's ridiculous to still see them in high heels, tight clothes and perfectly made up...even Trinity in the recent Matrix movie [which blew imo] have nothing less than tight shiny leather body suit and high heel boots. But that's ok, it's entertainment and sex sells...

SO. If you were a superheroine, what would you wear and just for kicks, what would your superpower be? And for the sake of keeping it stirctly with image let's say it's possible to run and kick butt in stilettos if you do want to wear that...

my outfit would be boots [without heels thank you very much, looks better anyway] body suit a la evangelion [anime] style and a cape for kicks...and my superpower would be control of fire...kinda like sailor mars or that guy from x-men. ^-^

My superpowers would be a mean temper, buff biceps, and the ability to shoot electricity at people who pissed me off. And retractable blades - I've wanted those ever since I read Neuromancer.

I'd look something like this:

i think i'd go for the more basic look:
big black boots
black jeans- a little baggy for movement.
black tanktop (because sometimes, cleavage is a necessity)
black trenchcoat.

and then some underrated power, like brilliant deduction or stun bolts.

ooh! or- Tank Girl!

Laura Croft charcks me up! She's running through the jungle with those short-shorts; I can't help but think about all the mosquito bites! But seriously, I think she does kick ass.

tight black latex suit with mask and everything...come to think of it I just got a magazine that is selling a bondage type cat mask...I think I'll buy it...

the guys wear tight clothes, too, though

but i'd totally wear boxer shorts over my pants and a towel for a cape. and my asskickin' boots, which are knee-high and definitely not stiletto.

ohhh and edit: my superpower would be like batman's - just being able to be there and kick ass. and have lots of cool things to help me out, like the batmobile.

I would want to be like Lina Inverse! She's funny and moody and eats lots of food while trying to get rich by robbing bandits. Sounds like fun to me!

The thing about superheros is that they can kick ass and look good at the same time, and no ridiculous outfit will be a handicap, even if you're kicking ass in heels.

I agree with Sexycat, I love Rogue! She been my favoirte super hero since I was little. And I'll tell you right now in the x-men movie Wolverine is so sexy! Sorry that was off the suject, but I'd like mind-reading powers, and has anyone ever seen an overweight superhero? I'd like to see one of those for all the ladies out there who have a lil more fluff, but can still kick butt.
