etymology of the C word
i figured i would post this in the ladies' lounge, because it mostly pertains to us...at least in my opinion.
i found this dissertation online and i thought it was really informative. i thought some of you would enjoy it. also, i've got a question... how many of you use the word "cunt"? if not, why not? if so, why so? (sorry, mods, if this isn't alright. if it isn't, take it down by all means.) BLAH, i forgot to add the URL! http://members.lycos.co.uk/mathunt.dissertation.html Last edited by warmingup2prose; 06-26-2003 at 11:03 PM.. |

blah, i don't know why it doesn't work here...it works in my favorites. maybe the question mark is what's keeping it from working.

i just finished reading the book, 'cunt: a declaration of independence' and i have changed my outlook on the word. i normally don't use it and feel weird when i do. cunt used to be a positive term, only turned negative throughout history especially from the inquisition, when religion was based on male power and the fear of women and their sexuality, namely, their cunts. er yeah. good book tho :P
