Acne and birth control
So I have been on ortho tri-cyclen lo for about two years now and I have done pretty well with taking it. I messed up a few weeks ago because my schedule was so out of wack and forgot three days worth of pills so I had to quit my pack and wait for my next cycle to start a new one.
I have never been one to have terrible acne but since I quit my pack my face has gone crazy. Regardless of what I do my face is breaking out unusually bad. I am washing it of course in the mornings and at night before I go to bed and I use bare minerals makeup. I have heard that some birth control pills help with acne. I am not finding a whole lot of feedback on the net so I was wondering if you girlies could let me know if the bc is whats causing my face to go bonkers. I start the new pack on Sunday and am hoping to see some improvement over the next few weeks. Thanks ladies.

The hormone formulation in Ortho Tri-Cyclen is meant to help with acne; quitting in the middle of your pack would explain the sudden breakouts.

Yeah I agree with onesnowyowl... I'm on OTCLo too and it definitely helps with my acne...But if i had to stop one pack because of forgetting i'm sure my face would be a whole mess again. Of course, deciding not to wear cover-up like foundation and powder anymore has seemed to help as well...
