Sensitive Skin and Waxing
Ok, as it says in the title... is there anyone here who has this problem? I want to get a bikini wax, but my skin is soooooo sensitive. I'm afraid I'll have a reaction like a breakout or something, which kind of defeats the purpose of a smooth bikini wax. I know there's only one way to find out, but I'd really appreciate it to hear from others who've had this issue and how you can either stop it quickly or prevent it altogether. Or other alternatives to waxing? Even shaving. Shaving's not as bad for me, but I do NOT want to shave my butt. No way, no how.
Info would be much appreciated. ![]()

shaving- use Cootchie Cream. You can find it at www.goodvibes.com . It's really, really, really good shaving cream for the private parts. There's TONS of posts in the "Everything about shaving... anywhere!" thread in tilted sexuality.
Waxing- Find a REALLY good waxer, one with a ton of expierence. That's the first step. Talk to your waxer about the best thing to do with sensitive skin- really good waxers won't bother your skin, because they're doing everything right and just taking out the hair and not ripping skin. Or, you could try sugaring, which is like waxing but supposedly ONLY sticks to the hair and doesn't bother the skin at all.

Everything sage said, and then afterwards *Gently* exfoliate (like with those plastic puffs), slather on neosporin (don't wait for bumps, just do it as a matter of course), and afterwards use a product like Tendskin. Do this on a daily basis for 3-4 days.
I have a lot better results with waxing than with shaving, btw. This is one of the reasons I've done the laser hair removal, but until that's all done (takes a while), I still also have to deal with this stuff. I'm gonna try out sage's cream rec. for sure. Good luck with that!
