So basically, TFP owns its existence to titties. I came here about a month ago, and have been lurking, started posting yesterday, I think. Came here through the penny-arcade forums, I think.

I think I found the boards through fark and showed up during v2. Because I didn't get involved, I got axed and came back sometime during v3. That's when I started to get more involved, to donate - but still I'm mostly a lurker.

Today it's not much different. I lurk alot and post rarely, except to say 'thanks'. But I value the boards and I donate periodically.

It's nice to see people with passion who apply themselves and keep the momentum going, and it's fun to hear that they enjoy it. Sims we are, to be sure, oh Mayor Hal. And we are satisfied...

April 29, 2002 was the day I discovered TFP through the link on Fark. I was in free tittie heaven. I didn't sign up then because you didn't have to to view posts back then, and since all I was interested in was free porn I was ok. I registered in July after registration was made compulsory, got booted sometime between July and October for being a lurker, (I didn't have internet access during this time), signed up again in December and have been a relatively active member since then.

Jan 2002. Holy shit, I was perusing the titty board back then. To think If i had kept my original username I could be an old timer by now.

dont post on any other board- and dont know what it is about this one, but it is something extraordinary- the diversity of topics and intellegent discussion is what keeps me here, I think, whatever it is , thanks to all

i go back to april/may of 2001...
what brought me here was a link i found to "Creative Undressing" - GAWD i loved that thread!!!...

after much lurking one day i saw that Hal had a need for some mod's and put up an application... i applied and grabbed him in chat where he did a half assed interview while his old boss was leaning over his shoulder...

we got into a convo one day and then out of the blue the phone rang... it was Hal and all he said is "We have some BIG changes!" and hung up. i had no fookin clue who it was or what till i saw my name on the bottom of the page italicized... WOWSERS...

we had a thing called "The Weekly Poster Child Awards" where you won nothing. That was pretty cool till he got tired of the boobies. we closed the boobies down to get others involved in the community. BuDDaH then created the Members Forum and then the Ladies Lounge and so on...

this site is an evolution in the present - it is forever changing and it's thru you , the members, that make this site work... we were even written up in USA Today's Life section under internet oddities as the fastest growing site on the net!!!

to that i'd like to thank you the members for your involvement and participation...

and to Hal & BuDDaH for letting me enjoy the funnest ride i've had in a long long time!!!

Interesting on how things came about.....but two thumbs up for this site. I enjoy the tfp and appreciate the hard work. I like the community and think its a fun and positive place to be.

I joined right when the tfp needed you to be registered to look at the titty board......I was a bad lurker...posted like 9 times before I got booted...and then asked the dumb question...why??? And then I got my ass chewed by the mods...but I will admit...I deserved every little ounce of it. Then once I started to dig deeper and deeper and became a little less shy I have become a posting whore. And I gotta admit...I've been on other forums.....and I don't think I have ever found any other forum that is easy to use, well maintained, moderated this well, and has so much variance in topics and users.

I think I came in somewhere around v2 but it wasn't from FARK or maybe it was so much has happened since then. Got the post count pretty high and was rocking along on v3, crash. Had some shit go down outside in real life and slowed way down on v4 but I am now back in the swing of things. I was led to Fark by a friend of mine, said it was a good site to get daily news. Seriously though -- got bored with fark real fast and started checking out the links, when I got to TFP, i stayed. this forum is just so damn addicting. I might be the only one from fark that didn't come for the boobies. . . :)

Like a lot of others I discovered the TFP through Fark. If I can remember right it was just about a month or so before it required everyone to register. At first I just popped in every couple of days to check out the booby pics, and then found everything else there was. I've been hooked since.

Can't believe i've never seen this thread.

I've been on board since early v.3, and this is bar-none the best community there is. I'm constantly forced to reevaluate things about life and myself, and it keeps me thinking.

I can't remember where it was I got linked here, but it was some miscellaneous porn link board, not Fark. It just said "Titty Board" and i said Ohhhhhhhh yeah!

As a writer, i've found no better place to say what I want to say in any quantity. The mods and admins do a superb job of policing the boards, and it keeps the harmony of the TFP to that of a symphony orchestra.

Congrats to all who make it what it is, you are all wonderful, wonderful people.

I love Fark...Thats how I found TFP...I belong to a few professional forums as well as a few listserves but TFP is for fun and amusement, not to mention the fantastic cross section of people and ideas.

Thanks for the great history lesson and the followups. It helps put my place here in perspective.
This is my second incarnation at TFP. I arrived shortly after V4 came online and I honestly don't recall what my first handle was. Both of my memberships were due to the FARK link. My first time in I read the Notices and (silly me) thought to myself, how am I ever going to find porn to post and a place to host it? I assumed the only way to maintain membership was to post on the Titty board! Well I eventually got locked out for lurking. Then I came back, got my head screwed on straight, and have been loving the place ever since.
I tried a membership at another online forum a few years back. It was moderated, but just barely. The whole place was based on survival of the fittest. I hated it. One time I was blasted by a member because I complimented them on a particularly insightful comment. Apparently I had to prove myself before I could 'kiss someone's ass' there. That has not been and never will be an issue here because of the great moderators/admins and all their hard work. (Tips hat to the management)

Even though the Tittie Board is no longer public, this forum is still the number one link at fark, and will most likely remain so for a long time to come.

Interesting to note that this site owes its livelihood to a well placed plug on a popular site...

i found it on fark also. but that was months ago. used to visit the site now and again. went away for a few months traveling and came back and things are now different. some of the stuff i remember is now gone (hidden)

I really can't remember how i found this place, but this thread isn't about that. I had no idea TFP had had such a vibrant history, when it came and went i didn't really think into how it all started. So thanks for the new info.

I havnt been here that long. k1ng told me about TFP in Sept of 03 but I didnt get around to checking it out untill Feb 04. I am glad that I am here now, this is the only forum i have ever been a part of that I feel free to post what I think and not have to worry about some dick cutting me down for what I said.

I too remember the days of BuCoMoFo and Sixate and Hanxter and all of the people who have made this site what it is today. I joined latae in version 1 and have been through all of the revamps and crashes. I visit this site daily, sometimes just lurking, others, like today, totally immersed in the community. Thanks to Halx for all of the hard work. Here's to 3 more great years!
