It's more about the cravings than the object one craves. The cliche is chocolate, but you're right that a lot of women do crave greasy foods. Some crave salty foods. Some crave bitter foods, even.

Funny... my schedule seems to go more like this:

DAY 1 TO 5: Horny
DAYS 6 TO 9: Horny
DAYS 10 TO 14: Really Horny
DAY 15: Oh God, Take me now!
DAYS 16 TO 23: She's a lesbian, but still horny.
DAYS 24 TO 28: Miserable mess of self destruction

I understand the typical period lasts 3 or so days... does these 3 days go as part of the last 3 days or the first 3 days of the cycle per the OP post?

Ha ha ha... three days.
Average is 5 for most women, 3 - 7 days overall.
Typically the first day after the period ends is the beginning of the next cycle.

Actually, noodle, the first day of menstruation is day 1 of a menstrual cycle. Otherwise it would be too difficult (at least for me) when to decide menstruation is over; it takes a while to wind down (I won't go into gory details). Depending on birth control method, a woman's menses may be shorter or longer.
