Another e-mail from Thomas Cole

Quote:
Dear Brian,

How are you? Did you get my last mail?

So how much have you been able to raise now? let me know so we both will put our head together and find a way to conclude this transaction.

Write to the probate attorney that he should give you some time that you come up with the balance .

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Thomas Cole.
and My reply

Quote:
Mr Cole,

I recieved your last e-mail, I am doing well.
I was unable to raise any solid amount of money. This just came up at the wrong time, if it were a month later, I would have had more than enough to pay for yours and my halfs together! But right now I am unable. The only money I have on hand is around $520 cash, but that money is slated to pay for the brain tumor pills for my sickened mother. Should I use that money to help this transaction go through? Should I send you the money and not buy the pills? I am unsure, please advise.

There is another matter I would like to speak to you about that you might be able to assist me with, which would surely solve mine (and our) money problem for good. The Charity I am to be recieving a cash amount from is dragging their feet in making good on their end. They are saying that I did not full meet my end of the deal.
You see, I was supposed to be working for them, helping them in treating Tympanic membrane's of people's in the third world. I was recently in Brazil treating the natives there, and when I returned, I was supposed to get $37,200 for my effort. But the charity (TFP, Tympanic Federal Protectorate) is now saying I did not provide them with a Public Relations picture, or a letter stating how much I helped. Without these things, I do not get the money.
This is where you can help me. I pray to sweet Jesus that you can help. I need a letter saying that I was actually there, and I was doing good work for our lord jesus and the TFP respectively. This can come from any source, but it needs to be hand written, and sent from somewhere outside of the united states. Mr. Cole, you are the only person I know that is outside of the united states! That letter and a public relations picture is all I need to get my $37,200, and then I will be able to pay for my half, ($3500) and I can even send you some money back since you were so nice and put up some of your own money! How much did you spend, $4000, and $500 from your sweet wife? I can repay all of that, knowing that I will soon be in possession of a good half of the US11.5Million!

Please good sir, I hope we can still get this worked out, may god bless this transaction and our eyes respectively!
Brian.
lets see if he takes the bait.

Dear Brian,

I got your mail and every words have been noted. I travel over the weekend to see my inlaw`s, i told him i have some financially problem that he should loan me some money, that i will pay him back, but he told me that he can only give me $1,500 which he send to me yesterday. I have the $1,500 cash at hand now, i will be sending Jack Lawal to deposit the $1,500 with the probate attorney today as another part payment. So we will be left with $2,000 as our balance now.

You said in your mail that you have $520 in your hand that you wanted to buy brain tumor pills for my sickened mother but you want to send the money($520) to the probate attorney. I want you to send the $520 to the probate attorney as soon as you read this mail.

Use the informations he asked you to use in making the payment through his account officer:

MR. DIASO IMODE AUGUSTINE

ADDRESS: 23 AJOSE ADEJU STREET APAPA LAGOS NIGERIA.

TEXT QUESTION: WHAT COLOUR?

ANSWER: GREEN

For him to know you are serious about getting your inheritance claim, go to western union office that is close to you and make the payment to him, immediately you make the payment scan and send the transfer slip and the information you use in making the transfer to him. What is the update from the probate attorney? you dont inform me any more or has he not contacted you all this why? I want you to write to the probate attorney now letting him know that your representative will be coming to his office with another part payment of $1,500 today and you will be sending him $520 also.

For the other issue at hand now i am willing to assist you, i will like you to draft the letter how you want it to be and send it to me, i will go through it and re-write it with my hand and send it back to you through email attachment, so you can submit it them.

I want you to send to me your private telephone now so we both can discuss the issue or better still give me a call on my mobile phone + 234 80 23770379, buy a international calling card or go to a public phone and call me, it is very urgent you do that to speedy every thing.

Waiting to hear from you as soon as possible.

Thomas Cole.

Thank you so much for getting back to me, it has been hectic around here lately. I will write to the Barrister today asking for some more time, and I will send the $520 either tomorrow morning, or Friday afternoon, depending on if I can take the Brain Tumor pills back to the doctor's office. My Mom will not be happy about this, because without the pills, she could go into a relapse, and possibly die. But I think she understands the reward we will receive!
Here is the letter I need you to write out:

__________________________________________________

To whom it may concern at the TFP:

Mr. Sexton has been a huge asset to us here in Brazil. He has treated many a membrane, and he even once treated my own when it went dry. By the grace of god and Mr. Sexton I would not have survived the displacement in my membrane. He is a national treasure, and he is worthy of the $37,500 that he should be rewarded for his efforts.

I ask you good sir, what would have happened if not for Mr. Sexton's efforts? I for one would be dead or in a coma, and my poor baby girl Maleficent would be without a father and an uncle. (and a cousin for that matter) Thank you ever so much for sending him to us here in the deepest darkest part of the Brazilian desert, Granoamtoin. It was like a prayer that he descended upon us, fighting infection and treating the sick. I fear that without his continued efforts, all will be lost, and Brazil will suffer from the dreaded Tympanic Membrane Disease.

I will also send in the picture that Mr Sexton took of us here in the village, and the sign we made thanking him and the TFP for their efforts. I don not have it loaded on the computer as of yet, I will soon, but it reads:

"Thank you TFP, without your efforts, everyone in this picture would be dead from Tympanic Membrane Disease"

Once again, thank you TFP for sending us this angel known to you as Mr. Sexton, but known to myself and the villagers as Jesus incarnate. May god always bless the TFP (Tympanic Federal Protectorate)

Chieftain Thomas Cole
Obi Won Tribe, Brazil

_____________________________________________________

If you can write it out in long hand, and sign it, then scan it, and e-mail it to me, I can forward it to the TFP. With that and a photograph, I can have my $37,500 within a few hours! God be willing and graceful. I will contact you about the specifics of the photograph as soon as we can get this letter written out and scanned and sent to me. Also, can you make it look like it was written by someone that does not have such a strong grasp of writing skills as you obviously do, it is supposed to be coming from a person that is not as educated as yourself. If you have any questions, please ask. Soon my dear friend, our money problems will be over!

Thank you and the baby Jesus, and may god bless us with this transaction and your eyes respectively!

Dear Brian,

I received your mail and the letter.

I want you to write to the probate attorney as promised by you today and make the part payment of $520 to him tomorrow or friday. Dont worry your mother will not die because that is not her portion and she too will also be happy when you confirm the money in your account and she will enjoy part of the funds.

I will write the letter according to your instructions that he should be in a ways as not educated like me for them to understand. I want you to send me a copies of the photographs, i will scan, sign and send the letter to you tomorrow morning my time when i get to my office. Like i told you to give me a call you refused why?

Please Brian, you make sure you send the $520 to him tomorrow.

Sir,
I wrote the Barrister, he seemed to understand that it will be Friday until I am able to send the funds. I am overjoyed that you are going to help me out with the letter and the picture! I see this as a turning point in my life, and you are the defining factor. God bless you Thomas Cole, and everything you do in this world.

Regarding the picture, alas, I do not have a picture for you to just sign, I was hoping you could take one for me? I already described the picture to the TFP, which puts me in an awkward position. I can describe the picture to you, and if you can replicate it, I can send it over to them, and they would be satisfied. God be willing and graceful.

I told them that I took a picture of the Village Chieftain, and 2 other villagers who's lives I saved, they are holding a sign that says:
"Thank you TFP, without your efforts, everyone in this picture would be dead from Tympanic Membrane Disease"
Any 3 people would work, and the sign does not have to be very big, just large enough to read, written on white paper with a black marker. I tried to use my computer and make a replication photo using the painting program, but they said it needs to be a real picture. Please let me know if you can help me with this.

Regarding calling you on the telephone, I told you before that I am unable to purchase an international calling card in my area, they only one I can find is $75US. If you really want me to call you, I can use some of the $550US and buy one, but that would only leave me with $475US. Is that acceptable?

I want to know that my money from the TFP is coming before I use the $550 for anything.
May the sweet baby Jesus Bless our eyes and this transaction respectively,
Brain G. Sexton
so, seems like he is willing to help me out, that's good, I can't wait for my handwritten letter and picture!

July 7th Update

The first Page of the 'letter' he sent me today:

the 2nd page didn't come out too well, so I am having him resend it soon, I will have a picture to go with it!

Sir,
Thanks so much, I have the whole letter now, and it looks great, with this and the picture, I can have my money by Monday!

Also, I am going to go the western union office this afternoon and send the $550US your way, do you want me to scan the reciept and send you a copy after it has been sent? The only other thing I need to do is go to the hospital and visit my mother, she had to be taken there last night because of her brain malady, and the fact that she didn't get her pills on time. I hope she doesn't fault me for that.

I dont worry your mother is ok.

I want you to follow my instructions i gave to you, when you get to the western union office do not entertain question.

This is my advice:

Do not send the money through your bank. Go to a western union agent like e.g.: Pharmaceutical shop, supermarket or shopping mall and make the payment.

Please do not entertain any questions if you get to the western union office, just tell them you want to make some transfer to a friend and that is all, do not entertain any question for security reasons, as you and I know that you re not related to my late client, but we need this money as a turnaround in our lives and our respective families. Do everything possible to see that you make the transfer of $550 to him now. Scan the reciept and send a copy to me for comfirmation.

Follow my instructions.I have been praying for her, she is going to get back on her feet in Jesus name.

Regards,

Thomas Cole.

Please, I am a professional, if I say I am going to do something, especially something this important to yours and my lives, I will do it! I am at work right now, and I get a break around 3:00pm EST, I will go to the western union office then, and only after I do this, I will go see my mother. Please don't get worked up, I know the amount of recourses you put in to getting this accomplished, and I won't let you down!

Also, in regards to the picture which I asked of you, are you able to take a digital picture for me? I sent your letter over to the TFP, and they were very happy with it. The only other thing I need is Photographic Proof that I was there in the village that I said I was going to be in. What I need is a picture of the "Chieftain of the Village" and 2-3 villagers holding up a sign that says:

"Thank you TFP, without your efforts, everyone in this picture would be dead from Tympanic Membrane Disease"

This is very important to me, without this photo, I will not be able to get the money I was promised. Please let me know if you can assist me, today if possible. If you can have this by today, instead of the $550US I can send the full amount $3500US, and you would be able to pay back your wife and in-laws! I know they would be happy about that, and also, this would keep this transaction between just the two of us again. Please advise ASAP.

Quote:
Dear Brian ,

I got your mail and i am no happy with the ways and manner you are handling this transaction, you promise to send the $550 to the probate attorney on friday, which you have told him and i dont want him to start suspensing your person because he is a well respectable person there in my country. I want to know if you have send the money to him, so for to move to the next level of this transaction, you are wasting time and i am even trying to raise more money to pay for the balance.

For the picture it will not be easy for me over there to get because you are surpose to be in it. You can as well look for a means to get one. I have try my best in assisting you and i know the consequences when thing go wrong with the letter, i am a lawyer by profession which you know, so you do your best and get the picture, you know what it will take you to get your money from the TFP.

Brian, this transaction i brought to you, what a huge sum of amount which you and i know, so i want to know if you are ready to assist me in still paying for the paperworks stating you as the next of kin to my late client, if we are able to make the payment before monday to the probate attorney and he file your application to the bank before the end of next week, you will confirm the funds in your acount and we both will enrich our various family.

I want you to follow my instruction now , you go to the western union offfice as soon as you read this mail and make the transfer of the $550, i will run around and look for loan or where to borrow from to make the full balance.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thomas Cole.
And another e-mail from the 'Barrister'

I have told you representative that this honourable chamber will not be responsible for any wrong so you are advice to comply with us and the bank.

and he is still pissed off (from Monday morning July 10th)

How are you? why the sudden silence?

Have you make the payment to the probate attorney? This is a new week and we need to conclude this transaction this very week.

Positive response needed.

So I respond

Quote:
Good Morning!
I am doing well, there is no sudden silence. I do not have internet access during the weekends, so I am unable to contact you. I am sorry for this, but it cannot be helped. I was in the hospital all weekend with my mother. She has taken a turn for the worse, and might not live out the week. Please pray for her dear sir, pray like you have never prayed before! I know I am.

I have not made the payment to the probate attorney as of yet. I realize that I said I was going to, but I need some sort of knowledge that I will have money coming in when I send in my last $550. Which is why I need you to help me out with the picture for the TFP before I send in the last bit of money I have.
Please sir, I hope this does not fall on deaf ears. But I must tell you, this is my LAST $550. I have no other income, and before I sent it away, I need to know that I will have more coming in. I know that the 11.5 million will be there as well, but I need to have this money from the TFP before I will release the $550. If you can help me out with the picture I was talking about, and get it to me soon, I can send the money out to the probate attorney on the same day. Please good sir, I know this is not what we talked about, but I need this to soothe my mind.
Your savior in jesus, may he always bless your eyes,
Brain
I am not letting him off the hook without my damn picture!

I have sent the money through Western Union but anti-terrorism legislation makes it illegal for me to send you the control number directly - I can only give you this Security Verification Code

You have to go to a website and put that code in to get the MTCN, they wouldn't even give it to me, and it's my money! Let me know if you have any questions
Brian Griffin
Try it out, let me know what you think, is this frustrating enough?
hehehe...

EDIT: the MTCN is the number you need to recieve funds from a western union officem without that number you get nothing.

The following is my favorite example of a group of people scamming a scammer,
The scammer was trying to rip off the E-Bay seller, of a PowerBook.

This is hilariously funny, and terribly sad - the efforts that one will go to in Nigeria to obtain a mere $550.

In the back of my mind I just hope that they aren't suffering a hardship for the time they spend on the internet or finding access to a scanner.

So, I actually started the transaction verification thingy. It is hilariously impractical. Please tell me this site is just a joke. I got 19.5% of the way through the questions and then stopped. It's just rediculous. You'll have to tell us if he actually gets all the way through.

ok, a few more updates..
Yes, yes they did go through all 40 something questions to get the fake Western union MTCN number, as stated in this e-mail here from the 'lawyer'

Quote:
Attn: Brian Griffin Sexton.

Sir,

I want to bring to your notice that my account officer was not able to collect the money($550) from the western union office here in my country and was embarrass by the officials of the western union.

Why did you at first use the anti-terrorism legislation to make the payment.

For your sake and your claim, you go back to the western union office where you made the payment notify them of the status of the transaction you made or i have no case to be blame.

This my advice to you, i have file your application to the bank and they are ready to contact you to effect transfer of your claim to you. So i want you to go to the western union office and correct the mistake and scan and send to me the transfer slip, without that i can not send my account officer any more to the western union office to be embarras again.

Quick anticipation needed.

Yours in service,

Barrister Gbenga Tilo.
and again, from thomas cole

Quote:
Dear Brian,

How are you? The probate attorney called me this morning my time saying that his account officer was embarrass in the western union office, that the $550 which you said you sent was not found in western union, that there was no transaction like that.

Brian, please dont put me into problems because Barrister Gbenga Tilo is a well known and respectable person here in country. Please on your behalf that it might be a mistake coming from the western union office because you are a trustworthy person.

Please Brian i want you to do this favour on my behalf and this claim,go to the western union office and release the money because it is still currently on hold.

Please do not let me lose this claim, you do all your best and rectify it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Thomas Cole.
so... I send it to him again, this time with 70-something questions instead of just 40... hehe

Quote:
Thomas,
Sorry about the silence, I have been quite busy here lately. I am still trying to get the money from the TFP. I tell you sir, I am quite broke right now. I had to go give blood just to buy some food. I am sorry the MTCN number didn't work, I got the money back Saturday, and I put it back in this afternoon. They still won't give me the MTCN number, but only the code to get it. Western Union is really cracking down on sending money to african countries because of all this terrorism stuff.
The code they gave me is
1664554760002164555252554760-2732-400182315332900232729181900153521353334232819-1100-117993768824-148-350

and the website is www.awebsite.com the office I went to said they don't give out MTCN numbers any more for transfers going out of the country. I am sorry, I don't think there is anything else I can do.. Please let me know as soon as you are able to recieve the transfer.
Brian
They were not happy about this one bit, but I will admit, they are getting smarter, and now they want to use a moneygram service
Quote:
Dear Brian,

I got your mail and i want you to use Money Gram Transfer to send the money to the probate attorney as western union fail to give you the MTCN.

I want you to act fast and go to the Money Gram Transfer immediately because we both have limited time frame on our side.

As soon as you make the payment please notify me.

Regards,

Thomas Cole
and of course, I play dumb..

Quote:
Thomas,
I have never used a Money Gram Transfer before, how would I go about doing that? Do I have to go through the bank? If so, I cannot, I don't have the money in the bank, I'd have to get it back from the western union office first, then deposit it in the bank, and that seems like it would take way too long. What was wrong with the western union transfer, didn't it give you a MTCN? I know they said there would be a few security questions that you would have to answer before you got the MTCN, but they assured me that it was working. Please advise.
Brian
he tries to explain it to me

Quote:
Dear Brian,

I got your mail. The Money Gram transfer is like the western union money transfer they both are similar.

Yopu go to the western union office and colect your money you said you send because there was no MTCN, which i beleive you know.

I want to know if you are serious about this transaction and ready to conclude it with me because you are wasting all the time we have. So you go to the Money Gram Transfer and make the payment and they will give you the MTCN .

Hoping to hear a good news from you.

Thomas Cole.
and I play dumb again
Quote:
I have no idea where a money gram transfer place is at around here, I have never seen one... I looked on-line, and I found: https://www.emoneygram.com/eMoneyGram/index.do

is this where I am supposed to go? I am so confused.
Brian
But luckly, good ole tommy is there to help me out!

Quote:
Dear Brian,

I got your mail and i am surprise that you said that there was no Money Gram transfer place around you.

I want you to follow this instructions:

I want you to open www.moneygram.com and click Locate MoneyGram Agent and enter your city area and you will find an agent that is close to you and make the payment immediately.

Immediately you make the payment notify me.

Regards,

Thomas Cole.
the end? Not yet.

don't feel bad for them, these scammers are theifs, crooks, liars, and generaly bad people. There are many people that live in Nigeria that do not scam people out of their hard earned cash. See how he didn't even miss a beat when I told him I was using the money that should be going to pay for pills for my mother? These people are the worse kind of scum.

My plan is now to drive him slowly insane, maybe then he will leave the scamming business and find a real job.

When I posted above, I fortgot to mention how much I appreciate your efforts to keep these criminals busy. I have this picture of them being so busy running back and forth to western union, that they have no time to send me E-mails.

This Rocks!!

A few more updates

Tommy is wondering where his money is...
Quote:
Dear Brain,

How are you? Why the silence? Did you get my last mail? I did not heard from you any more, have you made the payment.

Brian i dont like the ways and manner you are handling this transaction because you know what i have spent in this transaction and you want it to be a waste.

You go ahead and follow the instructions i gave to you in my last mail and make the transfer through Money Gram.

Please do not let us lose this money because it will be a turn around in our life.

Hoping to hear a positive response from you.

Regards,

Thomas Cole.
Oh noes! I spent the money on food!

Quote:
Thomas,
I like you, I really do. This is why it is hard for me to tell you this. I spent the money. I know, I know. But I just got my mother out of the hospital, and we were both very hungry. This $550 was the last of the money we had, and them mommy started crying from the pain of hunger, I just didn't know what to do. I took the money out of the WU transfer that you claim wasn't working, and I went and bought some food for myself and my mother. I hope you can understand. I don't mean to hurt this deal, but that is what it seems like is going to happen. Let me put this out there for you to understand now. I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT. the $550 is almost gone, I have about $120 left, and I need that for food next week.

There is still hope. God willing I am still able to the the $37,500 from the TFP, we can still come through with this transaction! But I need your assistance, without it, I am lost in this world to the wolves at my door. Please dir sir, I emplore you.
At your mercy,
Brian
Maybe he will help me with that picture now that it is the only way (or so he thinks) that he can get any money out of me...lol
