I know that the idea is to 'donate what you can' but a nice 'recommended amount' would be helpful to newbies, with the statement that any assistance is appreciated.
Think Public Television/Radio. When they do their fund drives they list amounts and bonuses that come with the amounts. Something along those lines might be useful as well. |

Just donated for the first time . . . hope I got it right . . . . . . . I am embarrassed it took me so long. I will try to make it a habit . . . TFP is a great place . . fingers crossed my post count keeps me above the threshold . . exactly how do I check my post count? can someone tell me?

It might be more complicated but maybe have another password for people who donate regularly? Iguess that makes it a paysite though . . . . hmmmm?
Another thought . . maybe make people wait 3 or 4 days after registering before they can access? That would deter a lot of time wasters . . . . . . and maybe restrict access to the TittyBoard until say 25 posts have been made? Its a tricky one . . i hope you dont just throw proccesing power at the problem . .becuase it will just be a matter of time before you are back in this position again. Regards all.

duckznutz....in order to check your post count just click on the "profile" button at the bottom of any of your posts.
And you made a very good point about the processing power problem. Halx can shut us out every few nights to prove a point and get people donating but once those of us who have done what we can to upgrade .... we will still be plagued with the original problem. I say find the problem and kill it at the source. Even all the newcomers that have signed on in the past few days may not have a clue why there are no avatars up (generally speaking) or why there is the big deal about trying to get everyone to donate. Sorta sad that way.

Darn, I just failed donating... for now. My following aggression is directed towards PayPal, not TFP nor it's galant members and moderators.
I can't beleive it that they require me to wait a month as a new member of PayPal before I can make my first payment!!!!???? They have charged me a fee NOW (refundable on 2nd payment) but will NOT allow me to use my membership until VISA sends me a statement containing a membership number. What's that all about? Heck a credit card is a credit card. I can walse into any car dealer and by a Mercedes on that card. Bugs the crap out of me not being able to donate immideately. And they wonder why online shopping is not taking off... duh! Don't worry though, the cause is worth the humiliation, wait and harassment I am forced to endure. Long live TFP!!
