quick question about bans
 

OK, so a guy I was talking to on TFP got banned lat week, and I was wondering what are some common ways that happens so that I dont do it myself, any help apreciated.

Simple: Respect.

Respect your fellow TFP'ers by not being an ass. Be respectful of other's opinions. Try to be as mature as you can be.

Respect your mods/admins by not posting about things you shouldn't be posting about. (warez, etc. See the faq for a list). Also respect them by respecting their decisions here on the board.

Respect your female TFP'ers. This isn't a titty bar. Don't use this as a way to pick up women, and stay off the Ladies' Lounge.

Add to that... respect the TFP proper. We have rules in place that are posted all over. Read them and follow them.

Don't be a dick and use some common sense and you should be fine.

the mods do a pretty good job of not holding grudges and will try to give you the heads up first if you're getting out of line. treat people like you would treat them in everyday life and don't make stupid decisions about posting advertisements or illegal warez... you'll be fine if you do that.
