Selling stuff on TF?
 

Hey!

I have some random books and CDs I'd like to sell here, but I'm not sure if its allowed or what forum to post it in. If it is permitted, could someone tell me where to do it? If its not permitted, please don't yell at me too loudy: I'm very delicate! :crazy:

That's not a bad idea really... might be a mod's nightmare though.

It says in the "Tilted Computers" forum that some selling of equipment is allowed, but I don't think TFP wants to become a garage sale.

This I can understand. A lot of other forums I frequent (GenMay and the [H]ardForums) have a specific place to post For Sale/Wanted to Buy ads.

TFP is not a site to sell, advertise, promote or anything associated with making money for yourself. If another TFPer has interest in something you have for sale, then it is probably best to PM them and conduct business outside of normal day-to-day TFP usage.

Mods, Please feel free to correct me or add anything.

But how does another TFP'er find out that I have something to sell if I can't post it? :(

i was thinking the same thing..

if it comes up in the due proccess of the TFP i dont see mods having a problem with it as long as it is done through PM's. but remember the TFP does not condone it and is not responsible for it.

You'd think that by now a mod might have commented in this thread.

Whats wrong with ebay?

I always thought eBay was a hassle to deal with.

theres always craigslist.org limecat. you could sell stuff locally and wont have to deal with a 3rd party.

try going to www.hardforum.com. That's a computer forum that allows selling of things there.
