I'm a bit confused here....

I recently posted a question asking what happened to another website since the homepage no longer leads anywhere and the web site's author's email address is no longer valid. I figured the visitors of this site are 'in the know' and could fill me in on what happened.

I then received a private message informing me the thread was deleted because apparently it's against policy to talk about any website other than tfproject.org.

Unless I'm mistaken, fark.com is not the same website as tfproject.org.

Anywhoo, I came to this board via fark.com back before the board disappeared and then revived itself as the incarnation we use today. I stay away from most of the discussion areas since flamewars don't interest me in the slightest. The headlines however are absolutely fantastic.

Old Farker here, under the same moniker that I use in these forums.

Fark was great in the old days. There were some very intelligent people with some very insightful comments. Nowadays, some of those same people still exist, but they're sadly drowned out by all the bellyaching idiots who a yack out the exact same crap, thread after thread. I don't mind reading the fights and flamewars that go on, but jeez, come up with some original material for once. Not all political discussions can be summed up by blaming the left/right.

I have a question. How many others are using the same nicknames here as they do on Fark? I recognize some of you, but the rest...no clue.
